I personally love a rustic campground. Was not jammed in, had plenty of space.
This park is a gold mine, but they definitely need some work.
The roads are in bad shape and the sites are not level.
The place was packed.
Put some money into your park.
Clean up these roads.
Bathrooms are clean. So they truly have a gem here.
But seriously fix up your roads and level things out!
The camp sites can't be any closer together. Someone is getting rich over here.
The "stocked" fish pond gets charged $10/person/day and not one family caught anything the two days I went... They stock at the start of the Spring... But charge the same amount to fish in September when there's probably 5 fish in there.
The sites are neatly kept. But you literally are sharing a site with a complete stranger in the same "lane" as you're assigned.
You get one electrical pole to share with the other site = 1 plug for you
So maybe ONLY do an RV here....
We got the deluxe spot so there is plenty of room between you and the next camper. Definitely worth the extra fee. The people in the office were super friendly and they have the family bug museum in the office which was really cool. There were a few kids around but it was always super quiet. Everyone there was respectful of the other guests.
Me and my family (3 kiddos) have really enjoyed this campground for the past couple of months. Not only are the facilities clean with awesome water pressure the campground host and even their children were so respectful and fun! This is my kids favorite campground so far! Adequate space between campsites and beautiful views. I wish we lived closer!! You’re missing out if you don’t visit!
The service here was amazing!! John who works there helped my husband and I unhook our trailer and get set up (they provided us with a better hose and a 50 amp watt adapter). Also, he helped us hook everything back up including the sewer hose. We are rookies at camping and needed the extra help. They even shut our door for us when it flew open during the rain. Their service their is the best it can get, thank you John!!!
DON’T GO!!! Very disappointed I spend $40+ to not even have a place for a tent, nothing but rocks and dirt. Had to take TICS off my son and he hardly played around. Ended up sleeping in the back of my truck because we were getting eaten alive by all the ants. Campground was overly packed, there was trash all over the tables and our spot when we got there. Good things, host was nice and helped us find our site, bathrooms were ok and showers were warm. Holes cut out of the brush on a hill I can’t believe they call it a site.
Beyond grateful, Our stay was nothing but with love from the camp host. Me and my Partner left today because of family matters or a change of plan. It was an honor to be camping at your campground. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. God Bless and may all that you and your workers have shared with others be fulfilled with the love of GOD...
THE BEST OF THE BEST !

The staff is so kind and helpful …. I am handicapped and by myself, so I need a little extra help and I didn’t even have to ask.
-
It’s also very quiet and with views of mountains; each site has some trees and shrubbery and lots of them have grass and are pull through sites .
-
But you’re still very close to Walmart and all that jazz. Less than 10 miles down the road you’ve got everything. . . But it doesn’t feel that way.
-
I just can’t say enough nice things about this place . It’s not fancy …. It just FEELS good and I know you will enjoy it.
-thank you, everybody at Golden Eagle!!
