Excellent donut shop! Huge selection of freshly made both regular and fancy (jelly filled, bear claws, etc) donuts. Also many coffee drinks and breakfast sandwiches available. We usually go here once/month for breakfast for the family and have never been disappointed! Plenty of parking right in front, easy to get to from I-80 and then hop right back on the freeway.

Friendly, family-run business in Citrus Heights. My favorite place for a maple bacon bar (think pancakes with bacon.) Take home some croissants for sandwiches later, they freeze very well. Get there early for best selection.

They are so delicious, fresh, and such a friendly shop. Way better then krispy kreme.... wide variety, but get there early 😉

This shop has gone through three owners and each have kept the original recipes and added their own. I have lived in four states and have not found another like it. I have fond memories of walking there as a child with my grandmother, and taking my kids there as a treat before school. A true diamond in the rough, and a cultural staple for Citrus Heights. ❤️

The donuts are good, but what really shines is how friendly the owner/cashier is (he even put some donut holes in for free!). Their plain icing is basically the traditional (plain powdered sugar), which some people may not like. They've got some unique pastries that other donut shops wouldn't have, including bacon-topped ones. As I said, it's a good little place, so it was worth at least checking it out if you're on that side of town.

I recently visited Golden Donuts in Citrus Heights and was blown away by the delicious glazed donuts and the exceptional service provided by Mike. The donuts were incredibly fresh and soft, with just the right amount of sweetness from the glaze. They were hands down the best glazed donuts I've had in a long time! But what really made my visit to Golden Donuts special was the amazing service provided by Mike. He was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in the door, and he took the time to answer all of my questions about the different types of donuts available. He even gave me some recommendations based on my preferences, which I really appreciated. Overall, I highly recommend Golden Donuts to anyone in the Citrus Heights area looking for delicious donuts and exceptional service. The glazed donuts were absolutely delicious, and Mike provided amazing service that really made my visit a memorable one. I will definitely be returning to Golden Donuts in the future!
