Golden Corral Buffet & Grill - Buffet restaurant in Anchorage - 4520 Union Square Dr, USA

Always my favorite place to stop and eat. I don’t from appetizer all the way to dessert. Everything is so fresh and scrumptious in the price that everyone paid for you can fine variety type of salad, tacos, steak, pasta, pizza, bake potato corn, and the most delicious dinner roll. I love just walking around and try almost everything, that’s made me feel like a little kid. Exploring new things every time when I’m there lol..

I know we have inflation, but this place has raised their prices at least three times in the last six months. Price aside, my first minute with the cashier didn’t go well. Cashier didn’t bother to ask me nor did I get the chance to tell her that I’m a veteran, she quickly rung it up at regular price. When I made mention about the veteran price on the board she nonchalantly told me it was too late and it was too much time and trouble to make the correction. She started reaching into the penny cup and found two nickels and a couple of pennies and was scrounging for more to give me. I stopped her. While I tried so hard not show it, I was quite disgusted with her attitude (there’s far more going on here with principle than price). While I’m trying to shed my disgust, I asked about the repeated increase in prices, she added how ‘new owner’ has now eliminated lunch prices on the weekends, so at 11 AM , the price now immediately reverts to full dinner price. Later during my visit, one waitress talked to me about new ownership (far away, in CA?), which she added among the negatives has resulted in recent turnover of staff. I’m not saying this time that this is my last visit, but it very nearly is. I may give it one more chance, maybe.

Food was nice and hot, and the man running the grill always had some medium cooked steak ready. The side dishes were pretty decent for buffet food and there is enough variety for most. Dessert was solid, I really enjoyed the carrot cake. The peach cobbler was a bit runny and lacking peaches but it was still good and I ate it haha. All in all the place was jam packed for a Sunday night and the service was fast even though they’re pretty understaffed. All of the employees were professional and kind. I will be coming back for the value and the service.

Great food. But the same stuff. Sliders are gross at lunch. You can't go wrong with the steak.at dinner..it pl Pretty much the same stuff Round Christmas an new year's it's changed up a bit.the chocolate fountain is gone. Dunno why..they have a dessert person that can ask kids to not lick the fountain

Haven't been there in quite a while. But for the price ya can't beat it. Senior a retired and active military get a small discount. Price board is in the pictures. I made my own smoked sausage sweet roll sandwich. Was pretty good. Later mad a pulled pork sandwich / slider with extra stuff. Best bet bring rolls to table with toppings on the side then build there lol Only disappointment was the restrooms are not kept up as well as they used to. Could use a serious deep clean. But overall was a pleasant experience

Went to grab a scoop of mash potatoes and gravy and found this cockroach crawling around on the glass where food is in the bottom… Told the waiter (The guy that advertises as Superman) and dismissed it by saying that they sprayed bug spray in the areas that were at and now they are coming out of their hiding spot. This place is disgusting.

It's a buffet, don't expect luxury. Quite crowded. Facilities are dirty and in need of repair. Staff is not trained properly and openly complain about it. Food is decent enough ,but for the price of entry, your gonna break even just to go somewhere else for a proper meal.

Always like this place. They offer a senior discount. Food is always plentiful and very good. Like traditional fried chicken? It's here. Want a healthier baked alternative? It's here also. Baked fish, Taco fixins, many desert and bread offerings.
