Stayed here on a trip years ago to visit a former navy ship mate who like myself had finished his enlistment , gone back to civilian life and gone back to finish up college at Auburn University. Nice place at the time but run of the mill. Howver, a good alternate location to stay if you are visiting Auburn. Also convenient to restaurants nearrby. I would recommend you give it at least a try.
The rooms are nasty! You can see the nicotine stuck on the walls. The floors are disgusting. My son found a used condom by the bed. The shower was messed up. They over charge for their rooms unless your a woman. The air conditioning doesn't work right and the wifi is useless. Worse experience we ever had.
They clerk was nice but the room was nasty the blanket had cigarette burns in it and the room stunk of cigarettes smoke it smelled like someone just got threw smoking and I’m not a smoker woke up and it still smelled like smoke. Very nasty room couldn’t hardly sleep because of the smell. Will never stay at this motel again.
I got stuck around these parts due to bad weather. I don't normally stay at independent chains, but I didn't have much of a choice here. I took it as an opportunity since I was alone without the wife.||||It was refreshingly comfortable. The beds were very comfortable, the room was clean, the environment was positively lively.||||I miss some stuff in the rooms/service that I get elsewhere, but looking at my bill, I'm thinking I can forego that other stuff.||||Stay here if you're around Opelika area, you won't be disappointed.||||P.S. Good internet here, better than most hotels I've stayed at.
First time I stayed there (even tho looks run down) it was pleasant. Being that I had a nice stay, I stayed again (due to all of my other choices having no vacancies) and that stay was far from pleasant. There was no microwave, the fridge smelt awful, the television spazed. . and to top it off, I woke up to literally knocking bed bugs off of me! I was so tired that I just went out and slept in my car. They do not appreciate you telling them about the bugs.
Worst motel I've ever stayed at. Disgusting room and wasn't even that cheap we were charged $44 for a room that smelled like smoke, broken appliances, and SHADY. I was scared to be there in all honesty. When you check in it looks vintagey fhen once you've paid and get in the room it is a total dump.It is clear the previous good reviews of this place were written by mgmt- "I took the opportunity as I was alone it town witbout my wife" pretty clear it's a bring your hooker hotel as we were asked if we were getting the room for the whole night AVOID!! HORRIBLE FILTH
I wanted to stay at an older, independent motel on a recent trip to Alabama and the Golden Cherry Motel fit the bill (plus, how awesome is that name?). This motel, which appears to have built sometime in the1940s, has seen better days. Shabby though it may be, it was fairly--some might say surprisingly--clean; the location is convenient to downtown; and it's cheap. The mattress on my bed could be described as punishing, though this may not be a concern for management since I suspect many of the Golden Cherry's guests have reasons other than sleep for requiring a bed for the night.
This is by far the greatest place you can stay, unless you like a bath.
Fantastic food, I highly recommend it! Extremely good service and the restaurant is very nice inside too, you can tell the owners take pride in their food and their establishment.
I ordered a tostada and two picadas to try as this was my first visit
I'm genuinely grateful for my exceptional experience at Parc at Opelika Apartments. The staff's unwavering commitment to service and their warm demeanor create an unparalleled living atmosphere. The state-of-the-art amenities elevate comfort, and the
"Monkey Park" is a very nice municipal park offering picnic facilities, well maintained garden trail and grounds and multible playgrounds for children. The park also has a wonderful 1955, 1:16 scale miniature train ride along the small brook. The tr
We enjoyed going to the park for numerous reasons. There were age appropriate play areas for numerous age ranges, the neighborhood was quiet, the park was well kept, and the scenery was BEAUTIFUL â¤ï¸
Great park to walk, have fun at the playground, and watch baseball/ softball games. The concession stands is especially amazing and serve great food at affordable prices. Always a great time going down to West Ridge.
I had a great experience staying at this location! The room was really comfortable with a very nice bed! The staff here is great as they were very helpful and friendly while I stayed here! The free breakfast is great! Lots of food options around and
Just what I was looking for in a chili dog. This place has maybe the best chili dog I've had. 4 generations and over 70 years. They are obviously doing something right.
