I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Gold Strike Casino Resort, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the high level of cleanliness and the impeccable condition of the hotel room. It was clear that the staff takes great pride in maintaining a top-notch environment. The friendliness of the staff was a standout feature of my stay. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in ensuring that my experience was exceptional. From check-in to check-out, their attentiveness and professionalism made me feel like a valued guest. This is our half way stopping point for our trips to see family. Casino is clean and a good place to visit. Great games and free play for members. Food. games, rooms, all good. The bad - location is rather secluded and not what it was years ago. Closed and abandoned casinos scattered in the area. Local businesses seem to never have recovered. Still the experience is overall good at the Gold Strike Casino.

The Good/Bad of my recent visit:||Good||1) My non smoking room was recently updated and was indeed non smoking. If there were other guests in adjoining rooms I couldn’t hear them. It’s a large property, have no idea how many rooms have actually been renovated, but those that have been are very comfortable.||2) The property is in excellent shape physically. Lobby and common areas clean and reasonably fresh, a few minor maintenance issues could be seen but nothing at all major.||3) Ate at the Sweet Tea restaurant - had the catfish dinner and it was very good. Filets right out of the fryer and the sides were tasty. It was a tad pricey, but so is every other casino restaurant in Tunica and there is very little in the way of non casino alternatives.||Bad||1) Better casinos in Tunica to gamble in. No poker room, you have to go to the Horseshoe next door for that. It’s 100 yards away so hardly the end of the world. Was there on a Saturday night so it was fairly crowded, but the Gold Strike only had 2 $10 blackjack tables vs. 6 at the Horseshoe. Both casinos only paid 6/5 on the $10 blackjack tables - c’mon man! ||Best blackjack deal I found on Sunday morning at the Fitz - $10 blackjack, still paid 3/2, AND it was a two deck hand shuffled game (no auto shuffler).||2) Lots of residual weed smell in the elevators, interior corridors, and even outside near the entrances. That’s not the fault of the casino but it certainly defines the preferred smoking product of more than a few patrons.||3) All the Tunica casinos allow smoking, so if you’re sensitive to smoke bring your antihistamine!||In Summary - when you go to Tunica:||o Stay at the Gold Strike (best hotel)|o Play poker at Horseshoe (I think it’s the only poker room in Tunica)|o Play Blackjack at either the Horseshoe or Fitz - even though you have to drive to it I’d recommend the Fitz|

My family and I enjoyed The Gold Strike Casino Resort. Had a pleasant experience, although the Bar tender did not get my drink right ,a fuzzy Navel with a shot it southern comfort..I received a Screw driver. Oh Gosh!! Other than this had a fun time..

Great atmosphere, there was a band both nights, w/ a DJ in between sets keeping the crowd jumping. Been awhile since I've put down hard liquor that fast... Yep, over estimated my ability. Not a problem. Had two stunning and kind cocktail servers take care of me. One All night long, damn near proposed. Not yet, still a great place to unwind.

If I could just take that night back. We were celebrating my mom's birthday. The buffet was horrible, the shrimp tasted rubbery. Nothing was warm. The staff was rude. We had 1 disabled person, and they didn't help at all . She could barely walk. Party of 11 and all of us had the bubble guts. Bathroom runs all night couldn't enjoy ourself. I will not be back for that ever.

My favorite hotel casino in Tunica, hands down! Very luxurious vibe but still full of southern hospitality and charm. The buffet is really good. For some reason they didn’t have crab legs when I went this time. Hopefully when I go this summer they are back.

The rooms stink and are outdated. They price gouge their rooms when they host an event. Better to stay 4 miles away at Fitzgeralds where the staff is friendly and they have an indoor pool. They want $300 a night and you can stay 2 nights at Fitzgeralds for $150.
