Very nice staff, both: at the front desk and the restaurant. The room was old but clean and everything was on working condition. Portions at the restaurant are very generous.
Housekeeping was fast, security found and returned my wallet. My dad won a jackpot. Fish and chips were great. Wait staff was too. Cash cage girls have good attitudes.
Literally the grossest place I have ever stayed. And I've stayed in some low star places. There was a hairball in the toilet and greasy hand prints in the shower.
The room REEKED of old smoke, the ac barely worked, the freaking lights didn't work in the middle of the room. The closet door was off the track and just sitting there. When I woke up this morning my nose was so stuffed from apparent mold somewhere as I am allergic and that's always a sign there is mold. Not surpised since the shower fan also didn't work.
Old disgusting crusty carpets. I wanted to leave and stay elsewhere but it was literally just a place to sleep and leave. The WORST place I have ever stayed. Wanted to go complain for a refund of some sort because that place was not even a little worth the money we paid. But my husband is nicer then me and said just leave it and let's go.
Heads up to other travelers there are literally a TON of other places to stay. Steer clear of this disgusting, run down old place. Also looked like a drug deal was going down outside of our room when we pulled up.
All in all a terrible place to stay I refused to take my shoes off the entire time. Still feel gross. What a stay for our honeymoon road trip...
As a long time Multi-Family apartment manager for over 40 years...this place needs a major update....the landscape is weeds,
the paint is faded and peeling every where, the paddle light switches in the room was filthy and the asphalt parking is a small minefield of potholes. Staff was pleasant and very nice and the location is the middle of town, but this property needs an upgrade.
I booked through the Hotels App when I first stumbled upon Elko. This place made me feel so at home that I have remained in Elko for the last six years. I didn't stay at the hotel for the last six years but I did take advantage of their weekly rates at first. Excellent rooms, solid casino, and JR's is perfect for every meal.
Great weekend stay! Double Queen Room for 3 was large and comfortable, though could use some updates (like a new shower head). Staff was very friendly and helpful. A star off as vending machine was not working and mandatory, on-site $23 resort fee (For what? Pool is closed in winter, it's not like they have a spa, bowling alley, or even beauty shop onsite.). Chose this location for price, very late check-in availability, proximity to those we were visiting, and many dining options within a short walk or drive; local friends advised against onsite dining, saying it had gone downhill in recent years. Beds and pillows were super comfy! Will def return when occasion arises.
Positive: The staff was outstanding. Very helpful. Negative: I chose it for the price but I had to pay more than 50% more because of additional fees and taxes.
If I were a critic, first I don't thing it's fair to judge this place with out judging the town. It definitely seems like an older town that has gone through some good days, bad days, and back to good days. That being said if it were possible I'd say burn all the motels and hotels down and start fresh. But that's not possible, so my opinion on here. All the hotels and motels had an abundance of empty rooms. They all advertise a fee and the have a service fee, I am aware that the government is trying to pass laws to make the hospitalty business more transparent. Yes I feel that leads anyone not feeling well off the start no matter the business transaction. Just like when every comment has a response comment from the establishment makes one feel like they go out of there way to do nothing. So all that said, it was room 255, it was a big room with one bed, great for me being a single guy. It was dated, and had some blemishes, but all and all relaxing and charming. Now the hard part, the room did appear to need some osmosis, I don't know if it's the filter, old carpet or the duct work but the air was stail dry and raspy, the bed was oh so comfortable, how ever being a former smoke I shouldn't complian because of my past, yea what ever. That said I also understand the ew smell of cigarettes, when you snuggle into bed, either the pillows or linens smell like they are all washed together with smoking and none smoking rooms linens, so there is a definite faint discreet smell of smoked cigarette tobacco smoke. The food was great, the staff was friendly, and everything is conveniently right there. Would I stay there again yes. My only option is I paid 100, or so I'm not cheap. Nevada has no state tax, so on and so forth, a truly fair price I feel would be 60 to 80 dollars, when the hotels are empty. If everything was packed and no where was available, I would be willing to pay up to 120 to 150 a night depending on week day and time of year. There is a rv park out back that they have, and there is definitely people living here full time to I noticed. I understand the price of beds, paint, carpet, the upkeep of maintenance, and housekeeping a large establishment like this. Thay said I see potential here, but I also see the Crack head motel potential to. I would say it might be in there best interest to do a remodeling or demolition and rebuild depending on the market, if not I'd say let it got and turn it into a long-term stay with cheep rates, and rent to the rift rafts. It definitely at a tendering point. And it's future will depend on what they do with it now.
If you are looking for a cheap hotel with a kitchenette in your room this is the place. They offer no coffee, no breakfast and no housekeeping. I spent a week here and they never gave towels or emptied garbage. If you want clean towels you have to br
My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Holiday Inn Express. The staff was wonderful, very friendly and helpful - starting at check-in and all the way through our stay. Breakfast was excellent and Isaiah was especially fun to interact with. We will d

Very clean rooms. Everyone was super helpful. I love that they have microwaves and fridges. Very convenient but above everything else the staff was spectacular. Above and beyond in kindness.
I got a room here all in with tax for under $70. For this price point, this is INDEED a 5 start motel! Booked on the central Choice website as we were getting close to town. Check in was easy and the front desk manager was SUPER nice. We chatted a bi

I could make an argument that this is the best gym in America. The Veterans discount alone made me feel at home. The people, the equipment, the accessibility, the locker rooms, everything is top tier. However, the fact that all of the women are marri
On a solo road trip. Sat at the bar and ate the salmon salad. It was absolutely delicious and also huge. The salmon and asparagus were warm/hot and cooked just right. The avocado was plentiful and perfectly ripe. There were loads of greens, and they
I had the best meal in Elko during my week stay at Machi's Saloon on a lamb shanks night. Great atmosphere, and a local hangout. Was recommended by a friend who used to come here 20yrs ago and is a friend of owner John Lemich who serves at the bar.
