Gold Country Casino Resort - Featured Reviews (5395)
Wonderful visit. Great layout with hospitality above all else. Good drinks, plenty of television footage for games, and fair prices. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
The lady at the frt desk Vanessa was so helpful and friendly. Brought me up some extra towels and pillows. Recommended "Game Tyme" for the food. Really liked the Noodle Bar. Baseball was on the big screen and we all made a night of it. Next day we got shuttled to the pool and relaxed. Great spur of the moment trip
We stayed at this resort/casino for a quick getaway, which is about 75 miles from our home. It's a small California casino but delivered on quality and cleanliness. The room was immaculate and unusually large as was the bathroom which included a Jacuzzi bathtub. The room was well equipped and the room size and the bathroom size went a long way towards providing a comfortable stay.||We ate breakfast and lunch at the Acorn Cafe which I think has been recently remodeled based on its cleanliness and appearance. Though not a fancy restaurant the food was very good and the service was spot on.||Alll of the staff were courteous and attentive, including the restaurant, front desk, and gaming personnel.||There is an RV park on site as well as a coffee shop, mini mart and gas station. I think this resort will be a good destination for a quick getaway.
The rooms are nice and roomy and the patio is fantastic. I love the bed and pillows. Very comfy. The only negative thing is the TV has a glitch in it and kept stopping and going but overall it was a great stay. This was our second time staying there
I've stayed on a few occasions and always enjoy my stay once I'm in my room. Sometimes I visit the casino which is hot and miss if you gamble. When they have concerts they're usually good and seating is pretty good.
I really enjoy this place. Wayne chou, my host there, has been so good to me. Always lets me know when they have specials going on and even comps me a room if I need one. The jacuzzis are wonderful. Love the milkshakes too!
Great assortment of games new and old. First time there and it didn't disappoint. I'll have to go back to check the rest of the place out, I was too busy battling a keno machine to do much exploration🤣
First off, this review only reflects casino and event services. Did not stay at the hotel. Overall, the staff was great. Pleasant, VERY helpful, and courteous. However, its dining and events could use a HUGE improvement.
Attempted to dine @ its Acorn restaurant prior to attending its Dana Carvery event. After being seated, we promptly ordered. Restaurant was about 65% full. Drink orders were promptly brought. However 30+ minutes went by without our food. By that time, restaurant was only 50% full. Finally waved down waitstaff to get an ETA on our order. Was told "kitchen was backed up" and that our order was "in the queue." If we hadn't inquired we would have sat there for God knows how long wondering what happened to our order. Another 20+ minutes later, waitstaff stopped by, to say the kitchen was "plating our order." By the time we received our food, we took one bite, and then had to take our order to go, otherwise, would be late for the show. How the "kitchen could be backed up" with a half-full restaurant is beyond me. Furthermore, if that was the case, we should have been alerted at the time of our order that it would take an hour to receive it, so we could have have made other arrangements. Additionally, one person in our party is a diabetic, which complicated matters even more.
Took our "to go" boxes and made our way to the elevator. However, although not marked, the elevator only went "UP." Finally, made it to another elevator, but it would not go down to the Lower Level where the event was being held. Instead, used the escalator while carrying our dinners in one hand, with our other hand on the railing. Vestibule was crowded, but asked if there was someplace where we could take a bite of our food before entering the auditorium. Was shown a couple of bar height tables where others were trying to wolf down their food too, as they had encountered the same delay in getting their food. As we attempted to take at least one more bite, our food was already lukewarm. One person's au jus had spilled inside the box, ruined her fries, etc. A total fiasco. Finally just trashed the whole dinner.
Event's auditorium was a bit underwhelming. I say this with no disrespect, while Oroville is a very nice town, it is not a booming metropolis, so didn't expect grand staging, etc. However, it reminded me of an elementary school's multipurpose room. Could have used better and more screens too.
Probably could have overlooked the event space, but when paired w/the dining experience, it just did not make for an enjoyable evening or worth the out-of-town drive. Too bad, as its casino staff is excellent.
Outstanding public display of holiday cheer. Very welcoming with areas to sit and heat provided. There is free selfies, so many displays, small hills for the children to slide, as well as paid inflatableâs and a larger sledding area. So cool and so
I get excited when I see that this place is open. I always try to stop on my home.
Friendly staff and some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. It's flavorful while not being super salty.
Their prices are very affordable (tacos are $2!).
So far I
Awesome displays. Amazed on array of tools, cleanliness, research including date and inventors names. The detailed design of each panel looked as lovely as quilt patterns. I brought my friend also a fan of tools. He was impressed. Thank you for your

This place is beautiful when you come at the right time of year. I did a field study of California wildflowers here and was amazed at how many species exist here. Best to come as early as possible in the morning. This place is gaining popularity and
