I love this place. My staff is very knowledgeable about all aspects of home repair. And their prices are competitive with Lowe’s and Home Depot. Honestly, the marginal amount more money I spend at TV is worth it because I get what I need the first time and EVERYTHING that I need because they’re always really helpful when I come in and direct me to where I need to find what I’m looking for and they will also swing back to check on you if it’s been a few minutes to help you figure out what you need to make sure that it’s the right thing definitely worth not having to drive down to Amsterdam and back.

This is the second time this store has let me down. The first time I needed a blade for household circular saw. I was told there are too many different size blades and he couldn't help me..Today I bought a screen door closer and was told I could return it if it wasn't right size When I returned it I asked for the thicker closer. I was brought out a more expensive one. When I stated that both were for light weight doors what was difference.I was told $10.more. So I asked again what was the difference he said " I don't know" So if you own the store why don't you know your merchandise. Never again. I'll drive to Ace Hardware where they,re more helpful and knowledgeable

It's great to have a hometown hardware store. Knowledge staff when you have questions. Wide variety of items for your different projects. Plenty of parking behind the store, on street parking or city parking lot across the street.

Very Friendly and Helpful staff. Store is very clean and has a ton of stuff to offer at reasonable prices. I went to Home Depot and Lowe's for some Gray Drylok paint and both were out of stock. But Gloversville True Value had a whole shelf full of it and for about the same price. Will be my new go to place in thr future.

This store has everything,just ask the staff working there and they will walk you to the product and help you get what you need,The paint matching is 100% on the color you need,everything is top of the line,this has to be the best store in Gloversville.See you soon.

Well I went in to this True Value hardware and got , try #5 its probably a spray there. He was right. There was 1 kind , 1 size and 2 on the shelve. Was looking for a spray for flying insects. Paid high price for something I could have gotten from wal mart and would have had a dozen choices. So much for the hometown hardware store. If I wanted to be ignored and get no customer service might just as well go to wal mart.

Very knowledgeable and friendly people have a wide variety of home improvement materials and it's nice to have this close to home without having to deal with Walmart crowd
