Enjoyed the Candlelight Christmas tour with the family. Lots of local history. Kids enjoyed the mouse scavenger hunt and cookies at the end of the tour. Cash recommended for tickets purchase, but they did allow us to make a donation online in place of tickets.

the Christmas tour was so nice. Carolers at entrance were an enjoyable surprise! We loved hearing about the history of Glenmore. The mouse hunt was fun. Being served wassel and cookies at end of tour topped it off! My grandchildren are still talking about how much they enjoyed the whole experience!

So grateful to have stumbled on to this jewel on the hill. So rich in history, one you can see, touch and smell not just read about. The tour guides friendship, knowledge and hospitality is a powerful asset to fully learning about the lives that were once here. 5 star in my book! Love it!

Glenmore Mansion is a beautiful Victorian home that was owned by one of the founders of Jefferson City Tennessee. The original owner also owned most of the land in town, was a part of the railroad, and owned a mill. He never got to enjoy his Mansion house. It was sold to the Jarnigan family and they lived in it for a very long time. Now the house is a museum and features lots of Victorian articles as well as a significant amount of original articles from the house. The tour is very informative and my daughter seemed to enjoy it quite a bit. Gorgeous house.

Our first time at Glenmore was for the candlelight tour. The house was decorated beautifully. The volunteers were all so friendly and knowledgeable.

Beautiful mansion. Furnished beautifully. Our tour guide was very nice and knew a lot about the history of the family . Great time, glad I went. 5 people in our tour. We even got to go into the attic!

A absolutely beautiful architectural design of handmade brick. A man's vision of a home he wanted to build for his wife and family. A millionaire by today's standards but money can't buy you health or happiness. He died before the home was completed his wife only lived in the home for 13 years. The 5 story 27 room mansion has thankfully been saved and refurbished. Check website for hours and events.
