Glendale Motel - Motel in Seaside Heights - 26 Lincoln Ave, USA

I stayed at this motel with my son, and it was a terrible experience. The toilet was improperly installed and rocked back and forth, making me almost fall. The room smelled awful, and the sheets were clearly not changed. When I requested new sheets, they were replaced while I waited outside, but the top cover, which looked like it had never been washed, remained the same. To make matters worse, the person who changed the sheets left dirty and wet footprints all over the room. The kitchenette was extremely outdated and filthy, appearing as if it had never been cleaned. In the morning, I found myself locked inside the room because the top lock wouldn't open, and the window clip was broken, preventing it from opening. I almost had to call the police as no one answered at the front desk. Some might say "you get what you pay for," but this place was expensive and not worth it. It was an absolute nightmare. Avoid this place at all costs!

You need to keep in mind two things: 1) you get what you pay for and 2) this is a typical no frills old, run-down seaside motel (which, in my opinion, has a certain type of charm)||That said, yes, it is run down-- the building and the room. Our room on the third floor was pretty gross. Weird unfinished wood paneling, burn holes in the comforters, flat pillows, furniture had burn marks and scratches. In the bathroom, the door didn't close all the way, there were floor tiles missing, the ceiling was falling down, the tub faucet did not shut completely off, it ran all night, loudly. There was also a hole in the wall behind the toilet; I'm assuming it's for access to pipes, but... Ew. I don't want to see that.|Theres rust all around the room, like the edges of the bathroom mirror, and the room's door. Again, that's kind of expected in a beachy area. The pool was small, and a couple of the loungers were broken, but the pool was a great time!! nice to relax at. My 10 year old loved it! The best part --------- *****LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION!!!!!! ***** As long as you don't mind the lack of cosmetic appeal, this is a great little spot! Just a couple of steps away from a happening boardwalk! Don't forget shower shoes or slippers.||

I absolutely loved my experience at Glendale this past weekend. My friend and I booked online. 5 days and 4 nights we spent a little over 500 and I think it was totally worth it. The receptionist was the sweetest man and was extremely accommodating and always greeted us with smiles. The pool is small but so refreshing. Their were two beds in our room and were perfect. The ac worked beautifully and the shower as well. I honestly don’t have a single complain. It is right on the boardwalk and beach once we arrived we didn’t use the car once. I highly recommend if you are looking for something not fancy to just sleep and shower and chill at.

Me and my friends stayed here for two nights and had no problems. The woman at the front counter gave us beach passes and she was very nice. You also get parking and the beds were fine. It was near the beach which was great. All the guests seemed to follow the rules of no loud music. Would definitely go back again.

Just 300 feet from your room to your feet in the ocean. Good rooms, good fair management. The police harassing people from having fun is regrettable though. Don't be a jerk and this is a good place for the family too.

My sister and I go every year. We had the best experience. We love Karen, John and Ricardo. Our room was very clean and very comfortable. They also gave us beach badges which saves a ton of money. Location to the boardwalk is a block away.The pool was great.

We booked this place for my sisters bday weekend, 2 nights 3 days which cost $800 and honestly it wasn’t the best. Starting off, the motel was filled with prom kids which I feel should be noted when booking because the area is loud. The room itself, the cabinets were missing doors, the bedding had sand on the top blanket, the living room pull out couches were stained up and had veggie straws once pulled out, the stains was an issue cause there was 4 of us now having to share beds. The bathroom shower was full of mold and hair. There was toilet paper that was previously used. Some of the light switches didn’t work so you’d have to turn the light on/off by hand. On the booking website it states the pool opens 9am-9pm, however the pool sign on premises states 10am-8pm which isn’t a big difference but when we went to go swimming at the 11:30 am it was locked and the front desk person said he couldn’t open it until he got insurance from the prom kids as if that has anything to do with our stay. Then he told another person in my group he wouldn’t open the pool until 3pm which is where I had to get involved. He argued with me that he doesn’t open the pool until typically 4pm, so one he is false advertising pool hours. He kept arguing that he had to wait until everyone checked out to open it. When you book a hotel saying amenities included, you’re paying for that portion, why should we have to wait for other vacationers to leave to use what we paid for? Also The pool on brochure states it’s a heated pool in which it’s not. The pool was dirty when we finally got in and colder than the ocean. Housekeeping didn’t clean our rooms or restock the toilet paper but we did see housekeeping outside others rooms. The only positive of the motel is being a 2 minute walk from the boardwalk. It’s definitely not worth the $800.00 we paid. All we got was a dirty room & nasty attitude from front desk. I recommend going somewhere else

I was really skeptical after reading the reviews, but this is my 2nd year in a row booking here and I’ve never had a problem. Very close to the beach, and the guy at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful. The only thing is I did wake up with bug bites all over my legs. Saw a review about bed bugs but when I checked all the beds I didn’t see anything, so not sure what that was from. Also when I went to go check into the room, there was a child laying on the bed in the empty room who didn’t speak english. Other than that, no issues at all. Nice quiet area
