Entirely lacked hot water and reliable running water. Towels provided in room were dirty and looked to have been previously used (had hair and toothpaste on them). No soap provided. For the price of this place these details should easily be gotten right.
Supper sketchy! They ran an offer during covid. If you donated to their gofundme, they would give the money to the staff, and you would get a two night stay after restrictions lifted. I called and emailed a year later, the owners wouldn’t respond. The staff I spoke to had no idea about any gofundme. Sounds like they kept the money for themselves! You have to love a business that would kick you while you’re down
My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay here over a family wedding weekend this summer. Casey and the rest of the Main House staff were super friendly and took amazing care of us. The grounds were beautiful with no shortage of activities -- we hiked, swam, and played games to our heart's content. Breakfast each morning was excellent. Evening entertainment was great, with the Tavern boasting an incredible sound system. Finally, the room was nice and we appreciated no TV -- we went on the front porch and read our books listening to the birds instead. We're excited to return on our own and enjoy a weekend away again soon!
Beautiful old houses in the fall! They have 3 building, I stayed at the hill top building facing the forest (but there is street across). The place is beautiful with garden in the back, sauna room in the middle of woods and many short hikings, right next to a small fall. You can spend a day exploring this place, there is a local market across the street on the weekends. They also have a delicious restaurant in the house serving dinner and brunch. There is a self served mini store for coffee tea and snack. Note: no wifi in the room (hill top), there is wifi in the restaurant and receptionist area. No tivi in the room, drinking water is outside, there is literally nothing, you just gotta go out and enjoy the nature :).
The property is lovely but a few things were not ideal for us that really took away from our experience. Overall it’s a place where you can feel immersed in nature and enjoy the vintage vibe like you’ve travelled back in time. It was cool but a little too rustic for us especially for the price. The first bummer was that our room was very dark and musty. We thought based on photos online that we had booked a light and airy white room, but the one we got was painted a green so deep it looked black. It felt like a dungeon in there and even with the light on we couldn’t see well. When I asked about it, the nice staff member said that unfortunately all of the white rooms were recently painted dark. I get the moody look they were going for but it was really unpleasant. The room and really all of the indoor spaces had that stale and damp antique store smell which was yucky to me. Cool vintage decor and everything, but I just didn’t feel comfortable inside the house. The second thing is that while the property is beautiful, the hiking trails and map were really confusing. It was so hard to tell where the trails were, we weren’t sure we were even on one half the time. There was hardly any signage and the paper map they provided was so sparse it barely helped. We felt lost the majority of the time, so I was nervous and not able to fully enjoy myself. Lastly, it was a little too quiet and boring. We went on a Thursday and it was pretty dead. The pool (which was fairly dirty) wasn’t very fun, the tavern was closed, and there just didn’t seem to be anything to do. I guess it’s better on the weekends! I wanted to love this place so bad but it was just okay.
Loved the place! The vibe is too much Williamsburg. The food is amazing. A bit expensive for the area but I think it’s worth it. I had the best bread and butter of my life. And the cookies are out of this world
One of the most pleasant and beautiful places I have visited upstate. The perfect balance of peace & fun with numerous activities to choose from, or just do nothing and enjoy the curated music, food and the falls!
Came here for Friday night dinner. Really sweet place with great portions, tasty food and really nice servers. Appreciated how accommodating and friendly they were. Would definitely go back next time I'm visiting the area.

What a special, memorable, unique place! We booked on New Yearâs Eve and it was such fun! The property is clean and well kept. There is plenty of family friendly activities such as bowling, dj dance party late night, hiking, and rooms to explore. W
Above and beyond, amazing dining experience!! All good is farm to table and so unique. They change their menu often and are always adding/debuting new things. We tried their new homemade seltzers last night - I had the juniper (not too sweet, and ve
