This is another famous mecca of Boxing in New York (located in Brooklyn) currently at a new location. I went to the previous location and did some training with the legendary trainer Hector Roca. I was saddened to learn of his passing recently. He spent a lot of time talking to me about the mechanics of boxing and helping me refine my skills. I will do some training here while I am here but I will miss the great Mr. Roca in doing so. Thanks for all the hospitality and info!
I have nothing but amazing things to say about Gleason’s boxing! We came here from Nebraska for my husband to have a private lesson and it was a great experience! I appreciated how welcoming they were and my husband and I still talk about the experience. I thought the cost for the gym and the private lesson were very affordable, considering what you got for your money! I would 100% recommend Gleason’s to anyone
Bruce Silverglade has always had archaic gym equipment in this place and it's kept filthy. People steal your things the minute you leave them on the floor. Somebody stole an 80 dollar Muay Thai jump rope from me and also my I pods. also please avoid trainer Devin Cormack.. he made advances at me.

Best boxing gym in NYC.. i remember when it was in the 30s near Madison Square Garden. Bruce the owner is awesome, he loves boxing and takes care of boxers.
