great place for a stopover when visiting family, or going up at the lake for a few days. the rooms are always clean and it's the best place we've found that actually has recliners/decent chairs to sleep in (you would not believe how hard it is to find a hotel that has those)! very quiet despite being in a relatively busy area, super close to the parks and other activities.
stayed there for 1 week, payment in advance, Argued with manager 2nd night to ask for toilet paper and clean towels. Nothing good to watch on cable Tv. Steam heat with no working controls to regulate, room was very unconfortable. Tried to cancel stay but manager refused. Situation remain stressful and never coming back again.
This is a quaint 1950’s motel that has been drastically upgraded and improved. The rooms are quite modern and very clean. Located on US 20 in Erie. Surrounding neighborhood looks to be very safe. The furniture is a little bit old and has seen some wear. The linens were rather disappointing. The sheets were very thin and worn. The blankets could date back to the 1970’s by their appearance. Good TV with Spectrum cable. Bathroom was very upgraded. Beds were much too hard and were made very poorly. Sheets pulled right off the mattress when I turned down the bed. The breakfast foods were a laugh. Raisin Bran or Cheerios with milk. Little tiny cakes and brownies. If I knew that was the fair, I may not have booked. The place is family run and that is a plus but they really need to get their act together with new bed linens and teaching their staff how to make a bed. If you stay go to McDonald’s for breakfast. It will be American Fast Food but it’s better than cold cereal. I may stay again, knowing the weaknesses, just remake the bed to your tastes and eat out.
I stayed here years ago and rooms were clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast was fresh and really good. Fast forward 15 or so years ahead and things have changed. While the price was very reasonable, I guess cheap rooms bring cheap guests. Couple next door argued most the night so I didn't get much sleep; walls are thin. The room was barely furnished: a beat up chair that had been too close to the wall so you could see gouges in the wall, small table near the microwave and refrigerator, small nightstand, and desk. Would've been nice to have a throw rug and another chair or table for your suitcase. Bed was on some kind of frame, no headboard. Bed was comfortable enough and pillows ok. Just the next day I had a rash on my face that wasn't there the day before. So not sure if it was the laundry soap or something on the pillows. I went to check out the continental breakfast. Very sparce, little to choose from, cinnamon rolls that looked dry and old. I took a banana to be safe. I will say the service was very friendly and the location was good, close to a lot of restaurants and businesses. While the price was good, I ever need to stay in Erie again, I may come back.
Hotel was a nice older building. Quaint, staff was friendly. Rooms were clean albeit outdated. Air conditioning took a while to get the room cool. Bathroom was nice and shower was nice. Beds were clean, but a little worn out and not the most comfortable. All in all it was fine for the one night we needed last minute, but not somewhere I’d plan on staying for a long trip.
This little place reminded me of the family-owned motels my parents took us kids to in the '60s. They've updated the amenities while keeping the same "old time" feel. The small bathroom was completely updated, and the room was very clean. There's a free, nice breakfast in the office area.||The best part, though, was the kindness of the manager or owner when we left there leaving some of our clothes in the closet. We got a call when we were a couple hours away telling us we had forgotten our clothing and offering to have the items sent to us. They made arrangements with UPS to have the clothes delivered to us, using our credit card number with our permission. After a call from UPS confirming the cost, our clothes (including the wire hangers!) arrived at our doorstep the next day. There was no extra charge from the hotel.||So thank you, Glass House Inn owners. We would like to stay with you again next time we're in the Erie area.
Lovely, very clean, family-owned motel, with excellent service from the owners. (When our TV remote stopped working, they switched it out with another one immediately at the front desk, and then came down to our room a couple minutes later to make sure everything was working correctly.) Updated bathrooms (showers, tile work, fixtures, lighting), TVs and window treatments, with laminate flooring throughout (no carpet). Rooms were bright and very spacious, with extra seating and a desk/table. Furniture is older, but well made. Comfortable beds and pillows, with luxury linens, comforters and spreads. My favorite part was the screen door and new windows that we could leave open to enjoy the beautiful weather. It was a very nice place to stay at a reasonable price. In fact, we decided to stay an extra day and would definitely choose the same place if we're ever in Erie again!
Nice small motel, they are running it on the cheep, the floor is covered in dirt or sand, and the lighting is terrible. I see this in so many places buying cheap daylight led bulbs in the 5000k color white, this death light is too bright to be usefull and it makes you look dead and is very bad on your eyes, they need to use 2700k to 3500k in a warmer color better on the eyes and for outside maybe 4100k max if needed. White light is not always better. Please stop using daylight bulbs, They are for parking garages only. Also, the baseboard heater and refrigerator running make strange sounds all night, and with a room this size, it should have a king bed. The furniture looks like it came from a thrift store .no way a 8.6 More like a 5.6.

Great place, friendly owner. Unfortunately, the restaurant has closed, but there is a lovely breakfast diner within walking distance. Quiet location with little traffic or noise at night. Clean rooms.
My sister and I came for the first time today and Juan, Kyle, & Caleb were all so helpful and patient! Very newcomer-friendly. & I sweated more than I usually do at the gym. Great group of people and great exercise!
We absolutely love what Lund has done for our son since he started. He has built a lot of confidence and has come out of his shell in such a short amount of time. They also pay close attention to each student and get to know everyone so well. We reco
