It's not going to win any awards for interior design, but if you are looking for good food look no further. The subs here are great, as is the pizza. It's a family business, and the people who run it are very nice and friendly. I have been going to this restaurant since I was a child and have never had any complaints.
Super impressed upon our first visit. We dined in and munched on a large pie topped with pepperoni, sausage and peppers. The crust held all the gooey, greasy toppings without getting soggy. They serve Pepsi products which was the only downfall for me. However I was pleasantly surprised because they do serve wine and beer. We've been going back ever since for takeout. A must try is their signature godfather. I really enjoyed the turkey with banana peppers. Their bread is freshly baked as well. If visiting Monticello or a local, this spot is definitely a favorite and must try! Service is friendly and quick!!
My family and I are visiting from PA. We drove a few hours to a nearby town and decided to go to Walmart for some groceries and then head to this pizza shop to grab some quick food to take back to our campground. I had searched for nearby food and it said they were open until 7. We arrived at 6:40, I know a little on the late side but I had two hungry kids who had been stuck in a car for several hours. They looked closed on the outside so I got out myself and walked in and saw people behind the counter and people sitting an eating so I went back and got my family and we all headed back inside. As soon as we all walked in together, they said they were closed. I said that it was 6:40 and that online it says they close at 7 and I have two hungry kids and the man again said they were closed and walked away while the other staff just stared at us. What an uncomfortable and unpleasant experience. After I got the kids buckled into car seats again, someone else had pulled up and they appeared to be turned away as well.
The pizza was okay but I've had better. I made the mistake of thinking I was in N.Y. and the pizza was going to be great no matter where I was.....Not the case. The sauce tasted like they opened the can of raw tomatoes and poured it on without cooking it. We had pepperoni, mush and olives on it. Pizza was crisp on the bottom but the top needed to be cooked little more. It was done just enough where the top of the pizza wasn't left too soft which in turn left the raw mushrooms they used slightly undercooked The crust could've been a little crispier was a tad too soft.
The subs we ordered were great. Tuna melt, cold tuna grinder and three shaved steak grinders. The steak grinders had sauteed mush, onions and peppers the meat was sauteed and flavored perfectly and tasted great. Tuna melt and cold tuna were excellent, the tuna was made nicely not too much mayo and not too dry. Only thing I didn't like was that they used yellow american cheese on the melt.
My Husband tried to call at 6:25pm, to order a to-go pizza, on a Friday, and no answer.
He was just across the street, and saw they looked open. So he went over, and they told him they were closed already.
The last time, we got the roast pork sandwiches on garlic bread. The sandwiches were HORRIBLE!!!
Now they are closing early on a Friday.
Don't worry guys, we won't be back.
I DO NOT recommend this place.
Always come here... when I'm back in Monticello... pies are nice.. and pepperoni.. even though they are small.. they have excellent flavor.. with a little spice to them..
Giovanni's is consistently okay. Not the best in the world but not bad either. Everything I've had has been okay and I can count on it to be that way. Their subs are good, their pizza is okay, their specials are okay. It's normally not a first choice but it's not last either. It's a good restaurant for the area it's in.
Love the staff there. They treat you like family and always feel welcomed. Never leave unsatisfied and most definitely have some laughs and jokes before we leave. Food is wonderful and service is fantastic 🤩🤩
So unassuming, true gem hidden on a side street.. the team were very helpfull. Great selection of meat, fresh to made chop meat and sausage. Filled the cooler with "The kings special"
Love this place. I don't even need to spend that much time inside because I can use their online catalog to figure out what I want to pick up and put hold requests in for items from other libraries. I get an email when it's ready. So easy. Friendly s
Excellent service, food and atmosphere. The owner is personable and present. The staff are well trained and professional, smiling, efficient and friendly. The food came out as ordered. We shared a grilled octopus and squid appetizer, and it came out
A lovely establishment. I ordered a vegetarian burrito and it was delicious. Service was quick and very polite. The dining area is very clean and colorful. The prices are extremely agreeable - twenty bucks had two people filled up with leftovers for
We love their chicken over rice and their potato wedges! Really delicious. The owner is really nice! Will do what he can do make things right (Iâve seen the bad reviews!)
Itâs nice to see the family business being run by the family... his sons
Food was really good! Had the house special spaghetti noodles forgot what it was called. Meat in every bite! They didn't skimp! And the egg rolls were fantastic! Little smaller than usual but still great. Wonton soup was quite tasty!

Delfilippis provided us with top quality donuts and Italian pastries for our wedding! Carmella was wonderful in helping us organize a tasting in advance and advising us on how much variety and what quantities of each dessert to get. On top of this, C
