Gina's Family Restaurant - Family restaurant in Danville - 2410 N Main St, USA

We happen by this incredible place while traveling. Google Maps needs to update the new name. The owner came up to us while we were eating and introduced himself to us us and to his family. What an incredible experience we felt comfortable and completely at home. Our service was amazing, and the food was homemade and fresh and delicious 😋 I only wish we lived closer to Danville because this would become one of our favorite places. 😍

I have a soft spot for small diners, and Gina's hits it. I happened to be there on Thursday, which is the catfish special day. The catfish was delightful; starting with 2 large fillets, and since it was the special, a third showed up 2 minutes later. Two was enough, but I managed all three. The breading on the catfish was really thin and crisp; very few diner cooks manage thin crisp breading on fish, so I was happy. The fish inside was cooked perfectly. It was flaky and avoided the 'gummy' texture that catfish sometimes leans toward. Sides were classic diner sides; not special but cooked well. Mac n cheese was the creamy pan-cooked type, not baked; texture and flavor were identical to the blue box you grew up with. The deviled eggs were a nice surprise; good flavor and seemed fresh. Rolls were right out of the package. Service was good. The small dining room was dated and worn but clean. I look forward to dropping by on another day to try a burger.

I came today with my shift partners from Lifecare. All of their food is amazing. The service is superb. It is all around an amazing family restaurant. Definitely took great care of us! Thanks ladies and gents, keep it up!

I ordered French Toast, and the inside was not cooked . I didn't say anything about it. My bad! But I ate the outside of it. The place was clean!

First time eating at Gina's Family Restaurant and I must say the choice that I made was delicious! I ordered French toast, scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and a cup of coffee. I could have had more than what was given only because I love French toast, I love bacon, shoot... let's be real, I love to eat. I love it when someone treats me and tells me there is NO LIMIT 😁

Omelet was perfect, service was great even though the waitress was new and the atmosphere was just right

Loving the hamburgers. New owners and employees have knocked it out of the park. Come on Danville give them a try. :)
