Went to the Gilbert inn with my boyfriend and golden retriever. They are dog-friendly and had dog bowls and treats available as well. The room was a little humid, but they did provide a fan that helped. The bathroom was also a good size and easy to use. It was a nice walk-in shower and that was helpful when I was washing my dog off after the beach! The breakfast in the morning included in the stay was also nice! The location of the inn was also really nice because it had parking right out front and walking distance to everything (i.e. the beach, the restaurants and downtown area). I would highly recommend a visit!
Such an awesome history at this Inn! We booked this on airbnb for our honeymoon, and it is the best please that we've stayed throughout the trip! If you come here, make sure to look around and read the history of the Gilbert family and check out their belongings that are around the house! Thank you! Also, great personal touch with the swan on the bed and the elephant towel on the bathtub, as well as the rooms being so clean (and themed)! Also, there was a great continental breakfast that we ate outside in the sunshine on the patio.
Recently went to Gilbert Inn in Seaside on a road trip down the Oregon Coast. The place was incredibly charming, clean and extremely affordable compared to other accommodation in Cannon Beach. The location is perfect for kids with so many activities in Seaside. Not to mention, a 3 minute walk to the beach where you can have beach fires on the sand. Gilbert Inn provided everything we could have wanted! The check in process was easy and convenient, and they allow pets with dog bowls and treats out for guests. I would highly recommend this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat!
Comfortable beds and room was clean, though room was too warm and there was no way to adjust heat. So we opened the window.| Breakfast was disappointing for the high price paid per night. |Stayed 2 nights and beakfast was identical each morning. |Staff was pleasant and available when needed
We brought together 23 family members from 6 states ages 2-73 for a memorial weekend in honor of my mother and our family history on the Oregon/Washington Coasts. It could not have been a better experience for everyone. I received emails after returning home from everyone complementing the hotel as a choice of where to stay. We each had our own rooms but could easily gather for breakfast and end of day conversation around the fire or in the Sunroom. Restaurants and the beach were in easy walking distance and Seaside was a perfect location to explore destinations both south and north. Thank you to the staff for your warm welcome and a superb setting.
We have been to bed n breakfast in England so assuming be similar. ||Nice old house decor. But breakfast was overcooked scramble eggs and sausage, self serve. Strifoam plate and super cheap plastic spoon. Coffee with grounds in it or kurig with only one option. ||Expected a cook to order, real plates and silver. The Comfort Inn we had was half the price and full free breakfast.
We stayed 2 nights in the Turret Room. Room was fine, not great. Bed was small, floors slope badly. No ceiling fan as advertised. Thin walls and steep stairs. Breakfast is a joke, cheap buffet style with powdered eggs and “make your own waffles”. Fruit was browned bananas and apples. All served on paper plates with thin plastic silverware. Agree with other reviewers that the staff was not friendly or helpful. Seemed like a family run place and they were all more interested in talking to each other in Spanish than providing for guests. Broken down car with flat tires taking up space in the very small parking lot. We had high hopes for a cute bed and breakfast type experience in a well known historical building, not so much. Won’t waste our money here again.
We thought the hotel was quaint but lacking in some amenities. Staff seemed okay. One of the things is no A/C. I know it’s on the coast but it was quite humid while we were there. Also, there is no mini fridge which would have been nice because we brought our dog with us. Things seem expensive these days but we also thought the value for the what we paid was not worth it. Other than that it was in a good location for Seaside—just a short walk to the beach.
this place is absolutely beautiful & so cute. i love that their flower is local & home grown & their display is TOP notch. Kory was our budtender, he was very nice & helpful !! would definitely recommend if youâre in the area !
It's a long, windy, and narrow road into the day use area, but it's definitely worth it. The coastline is beautiful. The parking was busy when we arrived, and there was a sign saying it was full when there were actually maybe 10 spaces still availabl
June is a great time of year because of all the wildflowers, but parking isn't great (so get there early!) 80% of the hike is relatively easy... but it's that other 20% that reminds you this IS a mountain after all. Don't let that deter you though! J
Love this store. She carries great local jams, syrups, nuts, wines, chocolates and other yummy things. She has a wonderful selection of Dean Crouser art things. Coasters, wall art, stickers & more.
Good breakfast sandwiches and fun latte flavors/themes, cool atmosphere, and community vibe. Arrow to the knee drink was delicious and would go here again â¨ï¸ Love supporting queer owned businessesð³ï¸âðð³ï¸ââ§ï¸âï¸
The gentleman there was very helpful and informative. I loved the calm atmosphere with a hint of excitement. Talk about memories. Better than a Blockbuster. Took my son to experience and learn a little something about real movies. I see a new traditi
