Very helpful staff. Great interpretive trail & longer hiking trails. We enjoyed the grassy meadow picnic area.

Neat 1930s CCC park office, nice and clean campgrounds, plenty of trail hiking (AT passes through), trail to "Thundering Falls" is easy to moderate in places through woods, lakeside, forest and nit very long to the falls. Worth it. Nice ranger.

I highly recommend this campground. We stayed here before/after hiking to the Killington summit (10 min drive). We also visited the beautiful pond across the road. The campsites are well-maintained, though they aren’t super private due to proximity to other sites and the path going around the campground. Our neighbors were quiet though! The restrooms were the cleanest I’ve ever seen at a campground. They were spotless. There are also private/individual shower rooms with warm water that you pay for with quarters. Dogs have to stay on a leash at this campsite. Ours didn’t mind! There’s a beautiful 1 mile hiking trail through the woods. There’s also free drinking water (bring your own containers), bear-safe dumpsters, and you can buy firewood and ice at the check-in area. The staff are very friendly. Give this park a try if you’re in the area!

We stayed at the top of the upper loop across from the AT trail. Most of the sites are very shallow (ours was one of them) and very close together offering no privacy. Fortunately, even though the park filled with campers each night most were quiet and all respected the 10 pm quiet hour. *The park is excellent for access to many hiking trails. *The rest rooms were always very clean.

Exceptional experience, great hiking, perfect cabin and staff and volunteers are wonderful! The Old Growth Trees are something to behold and spend time with! Love this state park!

This was our favorite campsite yet (out two weeks). Very clean and lots to do from the camp. Our site was on a knoll and very private. If in this area again we'll be back!!

Been here probably a dozen times over 15 years. This trip was different. Vt State usually runs a tight ship in their campgrounds. Especially in regards to quite hours. It's always so quite at night, the occasionally laughter or quite music somewhere is the norm. But Friday and Saturday nights were not quiet this time. A large party was still going on and woke me up for the 2nd time at 12:45. I let the staff at the office know, and the told me if it happened again, to drive down to the office ( in the middle of the night) and alert them of the situation and they'd take action. The 2nd night was a different group that chatted and laughed loudly until midnight when I put my ear plugs in. I did not get out of bed and get dressed in 40 degree weather to start my car and shine headlights thru the whole campground to drive to the office to report them. They never drove thru the campgrounds ( except to clean bathrokms) to monitor during the day or the evening as is often done at other vt campgrounds I've stayed at. ( and I've stayed at 3/4 of them over 15 years) Staff was friendly and polite while checking in and purchasing wood. Kind and engaging with questions and listening to my complaint on Saturday morning. Just not effective in enforcing rules. Also nothing to do with staff or the campground, but this trip we were really surprised at the road noise in the campground. Rte 4 is just outside the park and we heard trucks and motorcycles often. Between people partying and the road, it was not a very quiet campout. Beautiful spot none the less. Plenty of space between sites and a choice between tent sites, some even big enough for a camper or RV, lean to's or cabins. Bathrooms are flushing toilets with coin hot showers to boot, as is the case with all the VT state park campgrounds.

Honestly this place was spectacular!! Super clean and well cared for. The employees were all super friendly and helpful with any questions we had. We even had a little excitement with the bear who was making an appearance. We look forward to returning!
