Very dated market. It seems they are trying to keep with the original theme, but it actually feels old/dirty, not nostalgic. Most of the confectionary items were simply chocolate cover nuts but labeled as something fancier. Prices are by weight, which takes way too long to order, when purchasing one of multiple items.
Gibbons Bakery has such amazing baked goods. We ordered two pies for Christmas. Both were great. Their rolls and cookies are a must have. Its important to support this small business!
Never been there, but I live in Michigan, so the next time I go thru I will be sure to stop in!! I am placing an order online... can't wait to get those delicious cookies!! Love Gibson's Bakery, a nostalgic place that's a true asset to Oberlin Ohio! They make delicious freshly made doughnuts, homemade candy, ice cream, nuts, etc.... scrumptious treats for everyone! Employees are always welcoming and helpful! #SatisfiedCustomer

As a current student at Oberlin, I am deeply disappointed in the actions of the administration and just want to say that many students I know also support Gibson's and are pleased with the outcome. Now, as for my visit a few weeks back, I have mostly positive feedback but also a little bit of a grievance. The food was phenomenal. I do not remember having better donuts and pastries. The produce was a tad bit pricey but it's nothing egregious. Overall highly recommended for anyone. My complaint comes to the somewhat cold shoulder I felt I was getting from the employees. I went in to get some products and I immediately felt as if I was being judged simply for being a student of the college. I felt just a bit uncomfortable but I didn't mind it too much. I tried to be friendly but was kind of ignored. Now I'm not trying to be soft or something like that but I did feel a sense of prejudice against me for simply being an Oberlin student. Idk maybe that's just a false perception, and I hope that my future visits will help heal that.
