Gibson Mariposa Park - Park in El Monte - 4140 Gibson Rd, USA

Small symmetrical park with lots of down features. No gates and there are lights. The butterfly bowl is a cool shape but has too much flat bottom. The curb that you can manual across is the only feature for kids to learn on. Not a fan of A frames, would have been cool if they put a flat bar and a bigger flat ledge instead.

really great skatepark with lights in a quiet area. the lights are on til 10:30pm. the butterfly theme throughout the park and playground is adorable, and there's even a butterfly shaped bowl in the skate park. i thought there were plenty of different lines to skate so even when the park got more crowded after dinner it didn't feel too crowded.

Great park with a good atmosphere. This park has everything you need, grills, bathrooms, tables, even a stage for performing arts, a modern well built childrens playground, and a Spahn Ranch skatepark with the large clover style bowl as the highlight.

Beautiful kept up park! Just wish there wasn't Fleas bitting me every time I go for a walk in ankle socks..

This is a great little park. They have water features, it's not a water park but a park with water fun. For an inexpensive way to stay cool and enjoy your time with kids or just by yourself if you like to get wet!

Nice small park built by people who know how to build skate parks the right way.

We went to the park on a Saturday, about mid day, there was a lot a people there with beers and music. Maybe not the most family friendly park to go too.

I’ll be upfront. It’s a beautifully themed kids playground about butterflies. Great for dog walking. There’s a water park area, though I went in the winter so not sure if it works. Little library. Green area with a small hill. Skate park. Half court basketball courts. Picnic areas. All in a small residential park. But the playground is starting to fall apart. Plastic pieces are cracked or missing. Two of the 3 swing sets no longer work. The bathroom is kinda gross and the sink is barely functional (bring your sanitizer). For those reasons, I debated hard on if this was a 3 or 4 star rating. For now, it’s still well designed and my toddler still loves it. We shall see if the city decides to do some maintenance and repairs on it.
