Giant Food - Grocery store in Odenton - 1155 Annapolis Rd, USA

I went to this Giant on 01/19/24 to look for some ground pork. Unfortunately, there was non left because I went quite late in the evening. However, a guy from the meat department (I believe his name is Russell) was there to help me with other ideas with getting ground pork I needed. We ended up having a great conversation about dishes that we cook. It was a great evening. He was the great example of great customer service. Even though I did not get what I came for but I did leave the store with happiness and a good new friend. Thank you for spending time to talk through things with me.

It's a shame you are limited to how many items you can have in order to use the self checkout. I prefer to bag my own items because it is very frustrating when you get a bag with only three or four items in it. I do recommend the deli because the staff in that department is very friendly and professional, and my choices are always cut to my liking.

It is EXTREMELY concerning to walk into a grocery store, and see the bread that we are purchasing lying on the filthy floor like this. How is this okay? Truly makes you wonder how everything else is being handled behind the scenes.

My girlfriend visited this store with her daughter, who lost her stuffed animal. We called the store later that evening and one of the store associate’s named Faith offered to help us by checking the lost and found, then proceeded to put us on hold while she took a lap around to store in attempts to recover the stuffy. Although she did not find the stuffed animal, we thought that was excellent customer service. Thank you Faith for going above and beyond.

Y'all gotta pay Omare more. He is busting his butt in the self checkout! There was a long line, and he was checking up on everybody at the registers, asking if they need help, if they're doing good, etc. He even took it upon himself to check out customers so he could keep the line moving. Really nice guy.

This location has freshly fried whiting. The fish is always good. The team will fry you fish right on the spot. We visit quite often. The store is clean and organized.

This Giant NEEDS to keep an eye on produce. The amount of times I’ve found moldy produce has completely deterred me from purchasing anything but frozen fruit and veggies from their store. I’ve seen it on several occasions and just today I found a pack of strawberries at the front of the story with OBVIOUS fuzzy mold growing. When I considered buying peaches instead, there were rotten peaches with a load of fruit flies surrounding the selection. I’ve seen reviews regarding this before but the store clearly won’t take it seriously. Don’t wait for someone to get seriously ill because of your store’s negligence.

Good selection without being overwhelmingly stocked. Friendly staff, nice produce section, and a good butcher as well. Always prefer this place to giant.
