I've spent this year at the park. I didn't have any bad experiences while out there. It's not huge, but it has plenty of trails to work your legs out on. Enjoy!
It's such a beautiful place! The road that runs thru the park was smooth and well maintained. The entire park has beautiful manicured greenery! We did not see any garbage laying on the ground...again beautiful place!!
This was a great park for a quiet weekend. Most sites were full but they are reservable so you don't have to worry about not having a spot. Bathrooms were clean. Only electric hook-ups but water is available before you set up camp.
2 of the lakes were very over grown and nothing but lily pads. Some of the park was also overgrown. Alice lake was nice, quite a long drive through the park, but we caught some nice fish there! Lots of wild life. We will be going back :)
Really nice campground. So many trees and a beautiful river. Bugs weren't too bad. Flies do bite, but nice little beach area, tons of baby frogs when we went. Plenty of spots and we'll worth the price!! Very affordable and showers are kept up.
Overall an awesome park, lots of river access and several lakes. Great bike paths, very scenic. As for camping, the campground is rather small and tight. However, there are a few sites along the river that can accommodate a small camper. No electricity, but the view is awesome! We had site 18, loved it. Fished right behind the camper and caught a few walleye. A pair of bald eagles were right across from us and even came down to bathe in the river. Be aware, the park, and especially the campground map, is WAY off for scale, everything is a lot closer than shown.
Great park and campground! Well kept and clean. We camped and hiked and was a great experience!
Amazing park for being in the middle of town! Great trails for hiking and biking. Biking trails can be hard to navigate but the trails are on a few mountain biking apps. The lake is always packed in the summer with boats. I would highly recommend renting a kayak and exploring some of the lakes!

I love this bar! Great atmosphere, best drinks in town. Mc Cool is one of the best bartenders downtown! Very reasonable pricing on drinks and karaoke on Thursdays.
This place is BOMB! I had the Kansas City dog and it was delicious. The macaroni salad was so good that we paid for a lb of it to pick up later. Best decision I made today ð
I stopped here on a quick road trip today. What a great surprise! The staff was super friendly and they clearly put a lot of thought and work into their coffee. I ordered an iced latte that I believe was called a Jessica Rabbit. The menu said somethi
Their tacos are truly some of the best in th Cedar Valley. The tacos I had were carnitas, al pastor, and asada. If you like some extra spice I highly recommend their hot sauce. Overall it's reasonably priced and the staff is always friendly.
Ordered the chicken parm and crispy garlic bread. 45 minutes later still no chicken parm or garlic bread. The bartender told me they don't serve food and that I'm an idiot. Will not be back.
Amazing Authentic Mexican had the Mole Enchiladas, Mexicana Quesadillas, Amoigos Especial & Seafood Chimichanga and were all fantastic highly recommend stopping here for great Mexican and very friendly and fast service
Thank you for making my daughter's birthday a little extra special! This place has staff willing to make personalized pizza with a name. Not perfect but we were very pleased with the results! Very much impressed. Keep up the amazing work!
This Sidecar was just as enjoyable as its brother in Cedar falls. I enjoyed a delicious coffee there while I met with friends. Kind barista and a welcoming interior with lots of interesting art. I will add that my usual is their dark roast house coff
