George Skafidas Park - Park in Rock Island - George Skafidas Park Way, USA

Lovely little walk around park with great views of the Mississippi River and sunset. There is also an elevated pavilion with a nice viewing area. Paved paths were well maintained and the waterfront was not too trashy which is saying something as it was March and still snow on the ground. If you are in the area at Sunset definitely worth a stop.

Kids love the park and who else does daddy does!!

Beautiful park😍 Plenty of areas to park throughout the park. Access to the bike path and a sidewalk around the small pond. The small pond has numerous boat ramp entries, boat marina and storage. Also a boat ramp entry into the Mississippi River. Small trails lead to a beautiful beach area on the Mississippi side of the peninsula. Excellent set up to watch the sunset and have a bonfire! The pond is perfect for SUP/paddle boarding, kayaking and fishing. There is a lookout tower with overhead cover and bench seating. There are many picnic shelters, ball fields and playground equipment. Such a nice gem in Rock Island!

GREAT place -paved walk path - plenty fishing spots - Great for picnics - nice playground - docks - Marina - Gazebo on the Mississippi! While I was there it was being utilized for Prom Photos with the Centennial Bridge and the Mighty Mississippi in the back drop.

never knew this park was here and instead of turning into John Deere you turn left and it takes you down to the park it was nice and quiet nice view of the river

Every visit I've seen bald eagles. Pretty cool.
