Best soul food I've ever tasted. Hands down. I've been to many. But this establishment exceeded all my expectations. I will be back again. By far my best soul food dining experience in the last 10 years.
We were visiting Sumter from Texas. The food was excellent and the service was exceptional! We will stop through again for some good southern home cooking and sweet tea!

Food was delicious. Hospitality was excellent. There was a thunderstorm so power flickered a little while there. Enjoyed our conversation with the owners. Felt like family. You won't leave hungry. Will definitely return when in Sumpter.
The smothered pork chops are amazing and the portion sizes are worth the price. A little disappointed I couldn't get oxtail but I came from out of town but now I know where I will be stopping everytime we in town.

Was in my hometown of Sumter, S.C., and took lunch with my good friend Tommie Ardis. Had the smoother porkchops, yams, cabbage, and cornbread. Washed it down with some ice-cold tea. Love the home feeling, a little small but homely. The food was good, yet yams weren't as sweet as I would like. Other than that, the service was great, but they need to get rid of that Navy guy. Lol! Will definitely return.
