A quick or not so quick place to enjoy. Great scenic views. If you are able to climb up some stone steps, the view is worth it. The kids loved running around. The stone fireplaces, BBQ pits, whatever they really are, that are located to the right of the viewing area were also interesting. Rocks for the geologist. It takes just a few minutes before arriving in Virginia City to stop here, and many people do because it highlights the beauty of the outdoors before reaching town.
It took me a while to find this on Google Maps to make a review because I thought it was called "Thorp Point" from the placard that is there. There are absolutely stunning views here. The path is an easy walk. There are several rock formations and some man-made rock buildings. This is a great spot to stop on a road trip, stretch your legs, and have a bite to eat. There are a lot of different desert flowers and critters here, so mind where you step. There is some graffiti, but if you can look past that, you'll see some truly phenomenal views. Well worth the visit, and I hope to return someday if I find myself in the area again. My trip here was prior to Pokemon Go existing, but I'd have to imagine there are Pokestops and/or gyms here.
We drive up to Geiger anytime we want to enjoy a quiet and beautiful sunset. Ample parking available on the side of the road. Gorgeous views of the entire city, quite and peaceful.
The server at pegs suggested this lookout and they were spot on with their rec. Beautiful curvy drive up the mountain to this lookout with fabulous views of snow capped mountains and the valley. Built by the WPA, this pullout overlook was a treat.
Very impressive! Must stop to see the amazing views. The pictures can not do the views from this point justice! Near the point, we were able to see wild horses which looked amazingly healthy despite the awful heat and drought!
Didn't know this place was there. Came across it by accident after a drive through Virginia City. Some graffiti and broken bottles detract from it a bit, but still very worth stopping if you're in the area.
This is an amazing place to stop at, climb to the top for the awesome views. It’s not too far a walk to get to. We were able to see it clearly and it was dark out.
A great lookout point with incredible views of the Reno Valley.

I took my middle aged little dog to Sit means sit for training and work on reactivity. In just a month heâs turned into quite the little gentleman! Now when we take a walk and he sees another dog he ignores it and follows the command to âheelâ.
We went to the Dragon Lights Reno exhibit and it was beautiful! This was my second year. The event is well organized and affordable. I will continue to go every year.
