Stayed at Gaylord Rockies for conference & stayed over few days. Paid $340 per night for 2 queen bed room with view of pool. The room was basic with what you needed, nothing more (no microwave - only a mini-fridge). The towels are very sub-par especially for hotel that price. The common areas were very nice & well maintained including 4 restaurants & a market place with grab&go food that was much appreciated. Oddly the Prospector restaurant closes for couple hours between breakfast/lunch & lunch/dinner. The elevators were exceptionally quiet & quick - very impressed!! Fantastic pool area if you have kids including a phenomenal slide. There is no free coffee, water, or cookies in lobby like some nicer hotels & no breakfast included for the $340. Valet service for car is available 24/7 & they did great job. There is NOTHING in walking distance from hotel & no shuttle to the airport. Best bet from airport is $35 cab ride. Conference area was as good as any. Very nice place but for $340 per night I could find better rooms but would not have the pool, bar, & restaurants.

It was my first time staying at the Gaylord Rockies and it was an enjoyable stay. I was there for 7 nights so I had plenty of time to check out the amenities. The staff on a whole was 10/10 amazing. Everyone was kind, friendly, and helpful. The food was great - the Old Hickory Bison ribeye was absolutely fabulous. The lobster bisque was too salty for my tastes so they swapped it with a wedge salad which was nice. There amenities were nice - The whole outdoor pool area was spacious and well appointed. The lazy river was perfect for watching the sun set. The rooms were a little lack luster and felt a bit outdated. They were lacking personality and the finishes felt a bit old. The spa was lovely but the scent of the shampoo and soap were quite strong. If you are looking for a contained environment for a large group, this would be a great choice. It is a hike to get into The city but if you are happy staying put / close to the airport, this is a great option.

It's an okay place to stay for a weekend. Rooms are nice and there's seemingly a lot to do. Keep in mind that this is definitely designed to be more family oriented. That said, all the outdoor activities seem great, lazy river being our choice. Food around the resort is all just okay. Drinks are drinks, but both are pricey. For the location and amenities, it's probably a toss up. If you're visiting I'd say get out and explore Colorado a bit more as it's a good distance from all things interesting. Good place if you're passing through and strapped for time.

We absolutely love Gaylord Rockies! It was a last-minute decision to come here since our original plan was to go camping, but we’re so glad we chose this resort instead. There are tons of fun outdoor activities, and the lazy river was definitely a highlight for us. Everything was super clean, and the staff was friendly. We also enjoyed having several delicious restaurants to choose from right on the property. The only downside was that we visited during Labor Day weekend, so it was a bit crowded and pricier than usual, but we still had an amazing time. It’s great that this place is only about 40 minutes from home - we’ll definitely be back!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days for a business event and loved our experience! We came during the Christmas season, so the resort was beautifully decorated on theme and even had holiday-related food and drinks (ex: a food vendor selling Santa’s cookies and hot chocolate). There are so many areas of the resort and things to do. We enjoyed sitting by the giant fireplace and the tall Christmas tree drinking our hot chocolate and cocktails. They really focus on every single detail. It is truly an experience. There are multiple restaurants inside, so there are plenty food options without having to leave the resort. All of the food we had was amazing! The event space was spacious and elegant. The staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. We enjoyed our night full of food, drinks, and entertainment, thanks to the staff who helped make it run smoothly. The rooms were beautifully decorated, clean, and comfortable. Everything is such high-quality here. We would definitely be back to stay again! Highly recommend!

Beautiful hotel with some room for improvement. Rooms and decor are fantastic, the restaurants, small water park, and convention space are all very good. There's a lot of construction still going on, not just at the hotel, but also around it as well. The location itself is very isolated, nothing else is within a reasonable walk at the time of this review. I did take the time to try each restaurant at the venue and while they were all good, no less than four times did I see orders come out incorrectly, three just being the wrong thing and one was related to food allergies. Some more training would be helpful. Though staff were always kind and issues were corrected quickly. Lastly I think I may have seen old marketing as the winter garden used to look much better. The bar itself is nice but I feel what they have set up runs against the grain of what I've come to expect staying at other gaylords. Would be nice if they could bring some of that back as they add to the hotel.

Other than the food, we loved this place. The outdoor and indoor pool/hot tub options were really fun, comfortable beds, really clean rooms and shared spaces, and so many other fun activities (bocce, basketball, putting green, etc.). We were so impressed with the lifeguards that we felt completely comfortable allowing our kids to be on their own and check in with us. Our only complaint is the food. We tried multiple restaurants/market and were disappointed with all of them. The food is very expensive and the quality is amusement park quality. After the first day and a half we stopped eating at the resort and went to the grocery store and to offsite restaurants. It really is terrible. We still loved our time at this resort and would just plan food differently.

Awesome Business Meeting Property! Beautiful property and amazing meeting rooms. The desks have generous space and the partitions seal all sounds from the adjoining rooms. Staff is friendly. A host of restaurants I will review separately. Parking is expensive at 33/day. Very large and lively atrium bar and beautiful pool. Also the outside lawns are terrific and have fireplaces and heaters for the evening. Temperature in the conference is a bit chilly but aren't they all? We will be here three years in a row for our peer group meetings and I am looking forward to returning.
