Unfortunately this place is where the hospital sent my father to recover/continue his treatment. When I first arrived to visit my father, I was amused by the tires being used as flower pots but when I entered his room I quickly lost my amusement. I couldn't believe they said this was a clean room. I quickly started re-cleaning in discust as the AC filters looked as if they were never ever everrr cleaned before... refer to my photos below... it took me hours to just get this room satisfactory. And I hate to admit I'm not exaggerating but the light fixtures had a thick layer of sticky hairy dust that nearly made me sick. I went on to somehow not be shocked that the mini fridge was moldy and clearly never been wiped down with everything from crumbs to who knows what. But knowing I could be overwhelming at times I nicely went to the front desk to explain to the (very rude) owners that I would be willing to help get more of their rooms up to par, thinking a nice gesture of offering to clean for free would be less harsh then me complaining about the housekeeping or filth. But to my amazement the woman didn't want to hear anything i had to say and turned her head as I tried to show her the photos i took of the dirty room. She Literally was moving her head from side to side as if she were a child trying not to look. I couldn't believe that she ignored my kindness and went on to pretty much lie about firing the housekeeper earlier that day and hiring a new one that stared the following day. And continue to say that there is a no pet policy and I am not on the list to stay there. Now she knew I was clearly visiting because when I arrived I brought my Emotional Support Animal ID and explained I would be stopping by daily to check on my dad and she approved of my Dog Miyas ID and admired my love for my father. So she said...In all I have never had such a bad experience at a hotel and I wasn't even staying there. My dad had to stay there for a month And in that time they called my dad's room multiple times stating there was dog poop downstairs and he knew it was my dogs. Or trying to blame a noise level complaint and of course she continued to harass my dad. But the awesome man he is he just brushed It Off and prayed for her. Which she definitely needed but just when I didn't think she could top herself.... the day my dad had to check out, which we were unaware of since the hospital didn't make it clear on the check out date , she had her husband call his room at 10:40a.m and said he had 20 minutes to get out of the room. when he contacted me I was at work so I called and explained if it could wait until 5:00 p.m. and I could pay another day if necessary but they explained that the room is already sold and he needs to be out. there is no exception. Then he continued with "I need to leave my job because it is more important to get the stuff out of the room". and quickly tried changing the sentence to my dad was more important then my Job not the room. Going back and forward i ended with my dad will not be moving anything because he cannot move stuff he is under the hospital's care and we had a good deal of belongings incuding food an such. so they said they will send help untill i get there and they sent their father who was at least 20 years older than my dad to help move out of the room. My dad quickly explained to the poor man he wouldn't be needing his assistance and that his daughter will be there soon. these people are outrageous and I do not recommend the Gator Motel at all in any way shape or form.!!!. The owners of the hotel were friendly. The room was very comfortable, and it allowed me to rest after some time of not getting the rest I needed. I really enjoyed myself here

Big bug problem but it's very quiet for the most part besides the random events that go on at the venue behind the hotel. The couple that own the place are extremely nice. They offer discounted competitive weekly rates. If they just had a little bit of help with the bugs it would be the ideal place for any budget any occasion and close to all kinds of useful merchants.

I love it! Very pretty out front with the gardens, and also very quite. We have been here 2 days now and maybe going to stay longer depending on when our apartment becomes available. The room we are in is large and was just being cleaned when we arrived. There is NO nasty smell it smells clean and fresh . I have NOT SEEN any bugs and there is very HOT HOT WATER! The Lady at the desk is very sweet and nice! She even gave me a calender and she had 3 to pick from, thought it was a nice friendly gift! The price is reasonable with all the events going on (bike week and spring break). I feel safe and comfortable there is plenty of places near by to eat at, a convenient store next door ( but not to close to disturb you) Walmart within a half mile. This is a very nice place with a welcoming atmosphere. It is definitely a place I will stay longer if I need to and would come back to!

Nope!! The room has been used!! There is a smeared period spot on the bed the room is nasty!! The owner said she need to check the room to see if it was cleaned. Came out with used towels. Should have know better. She hung one soak wet towel on the rack. I have two kids and drove all the way from North Carolina. Let’s just say when my husband gets done working we will most definitely not be staying the night here. I haven’t even unpacked. I’ll pay $100 a night for a way better room.

Tremendous value for money. We needed to spend 10 hours before our flight, and we used this place. Clean rooms, clean bathrooms and comfortable pillows. Bedsheets clean and fresh. The room carpeting seemed a tad tired though. The owners at the reception are very friendly. Will use this again if I need to.

I honestly felt very comfortable and had no problems during my stay. At first i read the reviews and saw some people writing bad and others good, but to be honest with you i judge the Inn on my experience staying there, not what others write. It was very well maintained, clean rooms, brand new rugs, secure parking with cameras and very good night lights for safety. I saw a pool also that was super appealing, but it was cold in Florida to jump in :) ... So my opinion, "Two Thumbs Up" , also it was easy check in and check out, which i really appreciate because the lines in bigger hotels sometimes is to much, actually i saw children there playing around and some families from Germany, London, Canada, Mexico, which for me i felt fine of having different cultures all getting along peaceful , that is a Great Thing. Congratulations Gator Inn :)
