Gateway Inn - Motel in Front Royal - 1400 N Shenandoah Ave, USA

Made an early reservation through hotels dot com for a reunion at RMA. I got a good rate and was happy, as I’m not a huge stickler about a place to sleep. Gateway inn cancelled the, paid in full, reservation, conveniently for a high tourist weekend. Cynical and shady.

I had so many bed bugs and roaches in my room. The front desk person said they came from me even when I showed him proof. Do not waste your money here. It deserves to be shut down. You will regret staying here.

NOT PET FRIENDLY. even though the online booking said it was. had to leave my dog in the car and get minimal sleep. room was full of flies. no shampoo or conditioner. dirty. i usually love a humble motor inn but this one was awful. sadly it was pretty late and i didn’t know where else to go and couldn’t get my money back. terrible.

We had to change rooms cuz my girlfriend find bed bugs in our bed and after we asked for a refund so we could get another hotel they said after 30 minutes they weren't allowed to when we have only been there for 15 minutes. The manager argued with my girlfriend for 20 minutes because we didn't wanna stay there.

This is the most disgusting Motel I have ever stated at. They have bed bugs there are piss stains on the floor and on the bed the water would not turn off ran all night the owner Mrs.p they call her didn't care about any of this, when we complained to her she called the police there website says pets allowed. They have a sign that says pets allowed in The office , but yet when the owner (Mrs.p) showed up in the morning she again called the cops and told them we don't allow pets, we offered to pay an extra 10 for the dog ( now mind u my dog is a 7 lbs. Peekapom) she acted as if my dog had bitten her. This place is a down right disgusting and the owner is as well. She is so nasty she stinks I was so upset that I had to put my kids n that filth, after we seen the room we tryed to get our money back but of course no no no, u pay already u have to stay no refund , I will never ever stay anywhere close to that place. Front Royal is a beautiful place but it has one of worst motels I have ever seen.

Terrible, car trespassed when they have security cameras, manager smiles like it's funny when alerted. June 29, 2018 9AM without notice to the people staying here room next door to 121 that I am staying in is under construction and hitting on the wall loud and notify manager she says she did not want to let me know about this because she did not want to wake me up? Internet slow basically doesn't even work. Also had to move rooms prior to this because of others constantly talking right outside my room.

To be fair. The room was clean. This hotel was probably mediocre in 1960 and has declined since. This is more the place that unmarried couples go after the bar closes or if they are married but to other people. Door is a bit ajar and two small Windows. In it painted over. The painter wasn't meticulous about edging. The bathroom mirror shows that. Also a stray bit of piping juts out over the sink. The shower is dark and scary. The towels are really thin and the toilet issort of industrial. The tv set is now mounted on the wall, but the big tv case is left as a bit of furniture. The bed is really hard and the headboard firmly mounted, no doubt to keep down the noises. Overall, it says. We don't care if you come back, but we know you will. Wink Wink. Plenty other hotels in town for about ten bucks more.

This place does not even deserve a star. This place has bedbugs and boxspring covers have bed bug secretion. I took pictures for evidence. Pubic hairs on the comforter. I got my money back and learned hard way. Dont fall victim to this place. Read the reviews.
