I live a day's drive away, but when I'm driving through I will bend my trip and my hotel around this restaurant. One of the top all-time breakfasts I have ever had, I'm not joking. I will keep coming back anytime I'm near. If you live close, you have a treasure, and I'm jealous.
ALWAYS order the fruit cup!, you can add it as an extra onto your regular order. The fruit cup, every time I've ordered it, has been super-fresh, six or more kinds of fruit, lovingly sliced and carefully presented.
Omelette and home fries were perfect. Quick, efficient service. Even when it's busy, the staff keep things moving.
Small, hometown atmosphere. Super friendly wait staff. Food was wonderful and servings large, you won't leave hungry. Space is small, so if you aren't pressed for time, you should try it out! Know that the pancakes, although yummy, are more crepe like than fluffy. BONUS for adults....they do serve mimosas!
First time here. Heard a lot of good things. My experience:
Atmosphere - stuff everywhere supplies..etc, appears really disorganized and not very clean
Service- service was fine overall. Friendly enough although we were never asked how everything was which is odd.
Food- I had lobster bisque Benedict and it was pretty good. Wife had pancake and eggs. Scrambled eggs were VERY runny bordering on raw in some places. Didn't eat most of it. Pancake was ok
Cost- definitely on the expensive side for ambiance and food. As described above plus a coffee and OJ was 35.00
Overall, I probably won't go back.
The food is very good here. You can tell the cook puts a lot of care into planning and making the meals. My favorite dish we ordered was the bagel and lox. Highly recommend it. Be aware the place is very compact and can get crowded and loud.
Pro: Extremely pleasant and helpful staff. Con: No flavor in the food. The coffee is bitter too. The prices have jumped quite a bit. Not really worth paying for lack of flavor. I've been here twice now, to give it another go, and can't say I'll be back.
We were looking for a good breakfast place different from the big chain restaurants and this place exceed our expectations. Family dinner experience, VERY friendly staff, you can see the cook from your table and the food was great. Coffee was really good as well. Place was full on a Sunday morning, but we were seated quick. We had the bacon omelet, the breakfast sandwich, a pancake and a grilled cheese. Highly recommended if you are in the area and enjoy the dinner experience!
We were in the area and always wanted to try this place. It had a great feel to it. Like a friendly neighborhood diner. The two men working were friendly and nice. The food was delicious and came out quick too. We both got omelets and the serving sizes were big. We want to come back and try the pancakes! I got fruit instead of potatoes and was glad I did. They had pears, blueberries, watermelon, strawberries as well as a couple other fruits and it was all fresh and delicious. They offer beer, wine and other spirits for breakfast. We plan on coming back and trying a few drinks! The diner filled up pretty quick after we got there so we picked a great time to stop. We got there around 8:30am and I believe they open at 7am.
Okay first let me say this little spot right here is a gem in the rough. I went looking for fried potatoes and I've been to several places in the area. None has them.And driving by I seen this. Manager Brian have overdone himself impeccable service. The food was delicious and very low price. Go see for yourself. What a great playground. Brought the grandkids here for some afternoon fun. Plenty to do. It was very busy with many parents and kids. Lot to do, itâs in great condition too. The ground areas are very well padded making falls easier.
