Make a reservation!!! This place is ahhhmazing! A must try in the area. You can always get there early or even just go out to the river front bar area for awesome views, live music, drinks, and a small menu. Garlic Mike was grillin some oysters when we got there - Nathan was our server and he was the bomb dot comb. The food was incredible. All good things to say
Absolutely love this place. We ate there two nights in a row this week and got food to take home. Gavin was our waiter and I’m not sure I’ve ever had better service. We will definitely be back next time we are in Gunnison.
This is a great event location. The proximity to the river directly behind it make for an extremely beautiful location at dusk. We enjoyed a very delicious Italian style meal with excellent flavors. We had the fettuccine and steak and the garlic chicken. Wow! Amazing! Even the warmed bread brought out was great with a tiny bit of butter. Our waiter was a character for sure and took excellent care of our larger party. Nothing but great things to say about this visit!
Such a disappointment. This restaurant is in a cool building with an amazing riverside setting. But the management and service need a lot of work. We had a reservation and showed up right on time. However the hostess said she couldn't seat us because "there aren't enough menus". We told her we'd be happy to sit down without a menu but she said that wasn't allowed because it could overwhelm the kitchen. We stood waiting for 30-mins to finally get seated. Once we were, our waiter was very friendly, but slow to come to the table. Once we ordered, it took over an hour to get our food. And of course it came out cold. The waiter did apologize many times, and said he would comp our desert. Even though we weren't that hungry, we chose one. Then he came back and said his manager wouldn't approve it. I was floored! What kind of service establishment messes up the meal delivery that badly, offers to make some amends, and then rescinds the offer?! The head hostess was also running around (sometimes literally) and making lots of noise about how busy and crazy everything was. There were a few empty tables the entire time we were there, so it wasn't that busy. And even if it was, she shouldn't be making a spectacle of it. Did not create a calm, relaxing atmosphere. And look at the picture of the bread basket they brought us. I've never in my life seen such a pathetically small bread basket!
I've been dining at Garlic Mike's for over 25 years! It's a top-notch, family-friendly restaurant. The food is great! Try the Gnocchi Ala Romano. The wait staff members are very attentive.
Garlic Mike’s is great place for solid Italian food. We wen’t late after a day of exploring the Gunnison area - they were packed but the hostess found us a spot at the bar (which is small) but the food was good - not fantastic but significantly above average. We did have a funky Italian rum punch like drink that was good but too sweet for dinner - I wish I had gotten a glass of wine - I would have been much happier but that is my fault not Garlic Mikes. Good. Solid. Food.
Our experience was great and relaxing. Our waiter was excellent. We were seated immediately and we’re seated in a more convenient area due to my spouse being in a wheelchair which we didn’t have to request. Restroom was very nice and easy to get to. Food and beverages were served in perfect order and timely. For our anniversary celebration,we were pleasantly impressed and will be back.
Busy place, but we had a reservation and didn't have to wait. Food was so good that we ordered takeout for future dinners on the road. Super wait staff - very accommodating even though they were running. Excellent Old Fashion cocktail. The bartender is a keeper. Veal Picata and Marsala were light and tasty. Peach dessert topped off the meal.
Our 2nd time getting food from there. We took a drive from Grand Junction to Gunnison for New Years Eve day. A gorgeous balmy winter day. It was also our 12th wedding anniversary. Their food is worth the 2.25 hour drive. Texted my order in the morni
Great place to visit and learn about the pioneer life. We brought 65 scouts out west and this was one of the stops. More than enough to keep them engaged. Well worth the stop if you are driving nearby.
We took our young children and had a great time. The staff was so nice and helpful. The pool is heated, great place for little and big kids. The gymnastics gym is open play and the basketball court. They have family changing rooms too!
Nice big RV spots that have a good amount of space between them. Easy access to the reservoir. There is some highway noise if you're close to the road, but the spots farther away are quiet. There is no shade so I would recommend a plug-in spot for RV
This family run hole in the wall had some wonderful margaritas, cold beer, but most importantly great tasting home made food. I can highly recommend this location. Come early as the place fills up quickly after 1800. As per usual, I did not ta
We loved our stay at Rodeway Inn!! We extended our planned length of stay and ended up spending 4 nights at the Inn. The beds were extremely comfortable as was the room itself. Staff were very friendly and accommodating and the rate was excellent. W
Our room was clean and very comfortable. The bed was perfect, there was little to no external noise, and we loved the location. The front desk (man and two women) were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good, except for the eggs,
Great gluten-free selection! They have soft breads, pita, pizza crust, cakes, cookies, and chips; all gluten-free. Their other products are well stock as well.
