My favorite part about this hotel was the lady that worked the counter when I came in and when i checked out. She was very polite and helpful when I needed to check in at such an early time. The hotel as a whole isn't in the best location, but I still felt it was clean when I came in. Yes, it does have stains in the carpet, the elevator seems suspect, and the quality of linens could be better, but I won't knock it because I had a good experience while I was here. It was a last minute 3am type of booking due to unforeseen circumstances at the airport. I can appreciate the effort and the customer service I received.
The location of the hotel was ok. Parking availability was slim and the parking spots were small. I checked in at 9 and my room was not clean yet. The floor was not vacuumed once we got to our room(there was bark and dirt on the bathroom floor), leaving me to wonder what else was skimped on. The AC was great and the room wasn't too loud. The staff was friendly.
Garden suites should definitely co sider shutting down or doing an entire overhaul. I agree with many of the negative reviews, the carpets were horribly stained and reeked of mildew in the first room we were in and the carpets were WET. We were able to be moved but they insisted it was the carpet shampoo we smelled... the second room wasn't much better, it still smelled but not quite as bad as the first room. The carpets were still soaked so I took their office fan. The first night we were grateful until the freezer started squealing for no less than 3 minutes... at 3 a.m. and this continued to happen every few hours with no relief regardless of what we did. We were there for 6 nights and got locked out of our room twice with the explanation that we must have deactivated the keys ourselves. When I asked what they would be willing to do to make it right I was told we should have said something when the issues occurred. WE DID. Then I was told that we should have just checked out at that time. In addition to all of this, they decided that during Sea Fair weekend, they needed to redo their parking lot so they continuously had sections of the parking lot blocked off leaving maybe half of their spots open to be parked in. They could have easily used some of that money to at least invest in something to help their establishment not smell like drugs. Horrible experience and will be filing a dispute with the bank.
The night manager I met at the counter was very friendly and helpful. I discovered that one of the lamps in the room did not work. I verified the bulb was good and that the electrical outlet it was plugged into also worked. The TV also did not work, and the remote was unresponsive. The night manager swapped out the remote and quickly go the TV working again. Despite being a non-smoking room, the room smelled very musty and smoky. The management team the following morning was very rude and presented a negative attitude when I checked out. Other than those things, my experience was okay.
This hotel is now Red Lion Des Moines Washington. Staff was nice enuff but the people that hang around the front, and inside the hotel were Narsty trolls who ask questions about your stuff and stole our gas out of both tanks we had just filled before arriving. We ran out of gas on the I5 just after leaving the hotel. Rescue on the fwy isn't cheap...Desk clerk claimed they didn't live at the hotel but I saw them inside going to rooms. Talk about sketchy Not sure who all was in on it Reported Bottom of the beds were Metal 😳 SmAshed my toe so many times See in photo bottom of the bed
you need to ask for a room with a jacuzzi in the middle of the room its the best and cheap, who cares about location like Moana said be happy where you are! Ask for the jacuzzi room there are many of them! super fun for christmas my kids stayed the entire night in that tub.
This was a very nice overnight stay. Beautiful decor and everything seemed new. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. A Starbucks in the lobby provided the option for breakfast in the morning although a complimentary breakfast or at least coffee would have been nice.
I am about to check of of this hotel now. I was hopeful for a pool it looks like there used to be one would have been wonderful. The price was way too high I am traveling and am not from the area. The room was dark and dated show was a bit dingy but otherwise clean the bed comfortable I didn't experience any bug issues. I am concerned about the area I thought Des Moines was nice! What a shock I was very worried about my vehicle overnight. Mirrors were terrible and dirty but not a major issue the hallways need a steam clean badly the carpets are all dirty and stained badly. My impression of this hotel is not what the outside appeared to be online I expected better for 90 dollars. My suggestion is spend some money clean the place up update the place a bit and you will be right on mark. make the inside match the quality of the outside. I stayed in room 117 downstairs on the right hand side of the hallway in the smokers hallway. And I have a receipt incase someone says I didn't stay here 😉 It's just not worth the price and the sketchy people outside need to go! Thanks for the stay it was alright
Very friendly and helpful staff. They were very accommodating when a traffic accident forced a last-minute itinerary change. I was pleasantly surprised at how large the room was. Most welcomed was a full-size desk. Not only for business, but also for
Friends suggested this place for chowder! After the gondola ride at Crystal, this is where we came for lunch on a Saturday. No wait, seated right away for a party of 5, near the bar where youâre surrounded with TVs to watch the football game! I
Awesome drinks, the owner and bartender were welcoming, and friendly. Homemade pies, a great menu and bar was incredibly clean. Had a couple drinks with a game of pool. We will be back! Thanks for the hospitality.
This place is fantastic! Food is delicious, staff are thoughtful, kind and attentive, and there are a number of happy regulars you'll see there (the staff know their names AND favorite dishes!). Everything I've eaten here is tasty- and I can't stop t
Iâve pass this park so many times and after many years decided to stop and check it out. I love this place, thereâs 2 different hiking loops to go one. Thereâs plenty of parking, restrooms are available and a playground for the kids. My favorit

Jack's is a small cozy diner. We've been going here for 20+ years. Very attentive server, with good food. I'm picky about my coffee, (don't like Starbucks), they have all you can drink good ole fashioned hot, diner coffee with half and hal you can ad
