Garden State Inn - Hotel in Absecon - 701 White Horse Pike, USA

Was yelled at by the front desk clerk for asking if other rooms were available for upgrade. He would not stop yelling and was very hostile. Had to leave the office for my safety. Had to have Expedia cancel the stay because the clerk wouldn’t check me in properly and the hotel wouldn’t answer phone calls from Expedia. Definitely didn’t feel like a safe place to stay.

NO STARS!!! GROSS. 6/7-6/8/24. There was a mouse in our room!!! . I tried to change rooms- but no one was at the front desk...turns out he was asleep in a back room. When I was finally able to wake him up by yelling in the lobby- he did allow us to sleep for 2 hours in another room! This was 5am, I was trying to contact the front desk about the mouse since 10pm. Finally, today I -just spoke to a manager and they are offering me 10% discount off another stay!. I would never stay near there again. Completely Gross! WARNING! Do Not Stay here

I was happy to see the rooms and service was upgraded since my last experience with the inn. The desk manager was pleasant and helpful. I really wish this new cash deposit of $50 could be avoided or be mentioned when reservations are made! My only concern was the jetted tub location made it difficult to establish atmosphere especially since the wifi was blocked by the bathroom fixtures so music went in/out.

I would recommend for a good price on the weekend! It isn’t the nicest around but not the grossest! I would stay again! Never made it to the breakfast but wish I did since it was included maybe next trip!

We were extremely unhappy with our stay. We were in New Jersey for our son's funeral. When we returned to the room after an extremely difficult day, the room had not been cleaned and the beds were unmade. Breakfast was not as advertised. We paid a total of $356.53, what a disappointment, our stay was. Needless to say, we will not be staying here again.

I cannot in good conscience recommend this establishment to anyone seeking accommodation. My experience was nothing short of appalling. From the moment I entered the room, it became abundantly clear that cleanliness was not a priority. The space was overrun with an unsettling number of insects, making it impossible to relax or even move freely without encountering them at every turn. The bathroom was particularly concerning; not only did it emit a strong odor of mold, but it also showcased a disheartening array of broken tiles, suggesting neglect and poor maintenance. As if that weren't enough, the jetted tub, intended for relaxation, was instead a breeding ground for bugs. With each turn of the faucet, more insects emerged, turning what should have been a soothing experience into a nightmare. The state of the linens was equally distressing. Stains marred the sheets, and burn holes dotted the fabric, raising serious questions about the cleanliness and upkeep of the bedding. It was evident that no effort had been made to ensure a comfortable and hygienic stay for guests. In summary, my stay at this establishment was nothing short of a disaster. The blatant disregard for cleanliness and basic maintenance standards is utterly unacceptable. Save yourself the trouble and seek accommodation elsewhere, literally anywhere else would have been better!!

For a motel this one was very clean, ample parking and it was quiet and well lit. The person working the desk the night I stayed wasn’t very cordial when speaking to me, however, I needed a room for my toddler and I and I didn’t make a big deal of it. The lobby was very clean as well. We missed the continental breakfast.

Positive: This hotel was in a great location. It was clean, and suited our needs for an overnight stay. The room we purchased had a jacuzzi tub, but we didn¿t stay long enough to use it. I have no complaints, and will come back. Negative: "" Negative: ""
