A calm, quiet place. Not much to see. But the place is beautiful for a small walk or if you love sitting amidst nature. There's a waterfall too.
We love the beautiful waterfall and nice flower beds...it's even nice for a stroll during winter months!!
Beautiful double falls on a river.. bridge is e nd above it and you can look down watch falls.. river and falls run past a old factory building and there is a park located ajacent the river and the bridge.. also there are planted trees and flowers on the bridge and benches to sit and listen and view the fallls!! Quite pristine 😉
waterfall on one side of the bridge and calm waters on the other.. Metaphorically thinking it's kinda like life. On one hand it's loud, fast, undetermined and risky. And on the other side it's calm, peaceful, predictable and easy. Just as quickly as you can look at one side or the next life to can change on the blink of an eye ball... Enjoy all of it not just some...
With flowers it's beautiful. The graffiti under the bridge need to be fixed. Wish kids who do that thought of a mural instead that's expresses living in this town.
You use to be able to drive here. It was called the underpass. Now they have turned it into a little garden where you can sit and watch the water. Maybe even read a book and enjoy the sun. Its a very peaceful place.
The Garden on the Bridge is a lovely place to just sit and contemplate or pray, to walk and for people to ride bikes. A walkway (bikeway) connects Rte. 32 (Pleasant St ) with Rte.66 (Lower Main St.) It overlooks the river and the mill complex. The local garden club does a beautiful job of caring for a variety of flowers that bloom at different times. The only unfortunate downside in the past has been some vandalism and the Town of Windham has discussed ways to reduce that. Because is it used so much, any vandalism seems to get reported quickly. It really is a lovely feature in The City of Willimantic.

A great addition to what is an underrated food scene in Willimantic. Excellent wood fired pizza and a very creative drink menu. If you enjoy more upscale pizza with locally sourced ingredients than you have to give this place a shot.
Limberia Tropical Algarete is a total hidden gem! This is my new favorite spot in Willimantic. The owner puts so much detail into the presentation of the frappes, and they taste amazing! Whether youâre craving something sweet, or something refreshi
This longed- for facility has finally made its appearance and she is a beauty. I've enjoyed using the beautiful pool for lap swimming as well as some of the equipment available. The senior center has tons of things going on... You could live there a
Nice and quiet. Good food. I was satisfied for $20. I fed two people. It tasted pretty good too. There's a few options if you have picky eaters. Kind of like a buffet. Pick your rice. Pick your meat. I'll definitely come back.
We were advised to have dinner here! My friend is never wrong, and last night was no exception. We arrived, my wife, son and his girlfriend (the birthday girl)! We stayed, we ate some heavenly small plates. The figs were awesome, both types of
Seeking shelter between cloud bursts AND feeling a bit peckish, we stopped in at this lovely restaurant. The outside seating was moist, but inside we were nice and dry and well cared for. Service was swift and pleasant. Water was filled and refilled.
Wonderful people. Welcomed my son to climb on and explore all of the trains, as well as my little dog. They are doing a great job restoring everything. Had a good time, would return. I recommend following the driving directions on their website.
