If you're a fan of old Hollywood, this place is a must see. Easy hiking through wonderful rocks used in countless westerns and movies. There are great resources online to learn about the history and films from the area. The 118 freeway cut the ranch in half, and there are harder to see rocks that were part of the ranch on the north side of the freeway.
Very quiet place. I love the rocks. Can be a good picture place. Need to go early morning or late afternoon. Sun hits strongly after 11am
Nice lil spot preserved in between the freeway, condos & the pass road. Interesting rock formations. Great views of part of the west sfv. Was part of a movie ranch with tons of history. Don't go at night tho. U might encounter the ghosts of some of the bad guys that a man like Hopalong Cassidy might have buried there.
Unique rock formation. Not sure if there is a trail to complement this, but a location worth visiting.
This is a great natural park to come for a casual stroll. It is not large enough for a full hike but is definitely a great quick escape into nature. You can't walk far without coming up on neighboring condos, or the sounds of Topanga Canyon Ave, however it is peaceful in areas. There are plenty of rocks and large boulders to practice bouldering/rock climbing - so it's an excellent place for climbers!
Home to giants of Megalithic rock formations and the site of numerous TV and movie shows particularly the Iverson Ranch. Parking is along Redmesa road. The trails are short and meanders on different locations that eventually lands in a residential area. The views are great.
These rocks are remains of an ancient GIANT tree .. look it up. The world was full of them. Open your mind and use common sense. What we are taught in schools about rocks and techtonic plates admitted to be "theories"
Nice place to rock climb just off road in residential neighborhood. Too small an area for hiking.
