Garden Inn Motel - Featured Reviews (321)
Had a lovely time at the Garden Inn!! :)
Service was very nice, the AC worked great, the rooms were cute (there was a Hello Kitty microwave!!!) and very clean.
Fun ring light around the bathroom mirror makes for great selfies if you like that sort of thing.
A big flock of parrots greeted the morning in the surrounding trees and it was so fun to watch them all fly around!!
Also, as a queer couple, it's always appreciated when hotels actually give us a king bed instead of assigning us 2 separate fulls 😅, so extra points for that.
My spouse and I stayed at this hotel for three nights in June 2024. I would like to share some information about our stay so you can make your own decision.
**Location**
- The hotel is a 25-minute walk and a 1-hour bus ride from the city center. This could be inconvenient for those looking to explore the city.
**Breakfast**
- Breakfast is served only between 8 and 9 AM and consists solely of bread, jam, and peanut butter. There were a few eggs and a waffle maker that definitely wasn't working. This limited offering might disappoint those expecting a more substantial breakfast.
**Room Condition**
- The room was generally okay. However, on the morning of the third day, we woke up to find our room infested with ants. This indicates serious issues with cleanliness and hygiene.
**Staff**
- The staff were not terrible, but they were definitely not trained in hospitality. The quality of service was far below our expectations.
**Conclusion**
- In conclusion, we do not recommend this hotel. You could spend a bit more money and stay in a much nicer place.
First time in LA and we decided to try this place!
So far 5/5 stars!!!
Staff is very friendly and professional. Sam and Vani.
They were very clear on information about our stay.
Room was very clean!
Good parking lot
And what we loved the most is it has microwave and a mini fridge. We loved it.
We definitely want to stay here again in the future!
The rooms are very clean, it’s quiet and definitely great price. The staff are always so friendly to me and make me feel welcome. Even the cleaning ladies are nice. And they will bring you fresh towels if your staying 2 nights. I definitely recommend coming here.
When asked to extend another day, the guy said to charge 20 bucks for"early check-in fee" and the room rate went up by 25%. Guess the place is hot these days. We moved to a better hotel. Used to like that place, quiet and friendly. Now with new owner, everything is painted green. It reflected in the staff as well.
Positive: Located near a lot of different restaurants and malls. Negative: Housekeeping is based on the patron asking the front desk. Even a request with the door tag won?t do it. Housekeeping ignores it. Also I asked for a receipt and was told no with an incredulous tone. ?Ask online - no -frowning at the crazy man?s request
Hotel is located on the way to Los Angeles from Phoenix. It is situated in Asian district - we felt really safe. There is a free private parking available. The biggest disadvantage was the shower - water wasn't flowing properly. Using public transport is super easy, there is a bus stop in front of hotel. Plenty of shops and restaurants in neighborhood.
Room was ok, breakfast not great and service was spotty. Crew was not knowledgeable of the area so not much help for tourists. Safe area though which was good for my family. We had a 12 day stay and room was not serviced at all. No extra garbage bags or toilet paper
The San Gabriel Cemetery is a special place run by a wonderful team. They provided excellent assistance coordinating my mother's intimate graveside service. Thank you again Lucas and Jake.
