One of the best airports as it's well-organized, clean, and has very accommodating staff members. My husband and I have taken 4 flights out of this location, and so far, we are satisfied with each one. Waiting areas are spacious enough to sit far away from other people, and the restrooms are conveniently located near those areas. I fly Delta, but other airlines with smaller aircraft also use this airport. Parking: short-term and long-term available. Rates vary according to parking length and (if I recall correctly) vehicle type. I remember paying $30 for our sedan to park for 3 days, but this was back in December 2022. Check their website for more updated rates.

Small regional airport but it’s clean and new. I love it. The TSA staff are the nicest TSA crew I ever seen. Easy to get to and rental car companies are all here by the terminal. Thank you GNV. Well done !

Easily accessible airport with friendly staff. Very small with only three Airlines (American, Delta and Silver).

The TSA lady with Jamaican accent made me, my baby and best friend miss our flight by literally 30 seconds because she deliberately (no joke) went thru every single item in all of our bags so slowly swabbing every diaper and taking out baby clothes one by one and chatting and saying we should come earlier as they were announcing last call to our flight. I actually made it to the flight with my baby and got my boarding pass scanned but she took extra long with my friend who was traveling with essentially an empty backpack. she was dropping her stuff on the floor and picking it up slowly. I've been traveling out of Gainesville airport since 1990 and I've never seen anything like it ... someone so callous like she was amused that we were missing our flight. I have flown with my baby before and followed all the protocols and even had his baby formula in sealed bottles and a separate bag outside of my backpack, and she still went through everything so slowly. This is not a complaint about airport security... it is literally about this person and how she was amused by making us miss our flight.

Not good for flying with babies or small children !!!!! ☹️Before flying from SFO to Gainesville, I researched current security TSA protocols for traveling with an infant and had no problem whatsoever at SFO. I checked my car seat and carried my baby through the metal detector rather than the body scanner and that was it. My bag was briefly searched where they literally just took out a bottle of formula and put it back. I missed my departing flight from Gainesville to Atlanta this morning Saturday January 13th because of an Overzealous TSA agent, a black lady with a Jamaican accent. She performed every operation purposefully slow, and then when it was announced that the flight was about to leave, She literally started working more slowly out of spite for me and my baby and my friend. I think the TSA does important work that I appreciate very much, but this was not it. This is what I endured as I'm still puzzling over the events that took place today: First, when I approached with my baby in his carrier I was asked if I wanted to take him off or get padded down, so I opted to get padded down since at the last airport I just went through a metal detector instead of the scanner. I have read online this is typical protocol when carrying an infant. That was fine. Then my bag was flagged for searching which was fine there was still plenty of time And lots of people still going through security. My hands were swabbed too which is fine. This is where it went wrong - overreaching and unprofessional. The Jamaican lady proceeded to take out every single item in my backpack - baby clothes, Diapers teething toys, etc Very slowly and literally swabbing every single object. This is even after I had my baby formula (which was brand new in sealed original packaging in a separate gallon bag outside of my travel bag). Then she had me take off my baby, hand my baby to my friend, Then go through the scanner even though I had already been patted down and my hands Had been swabbed and all of my objects had been tested. At this point someone was calling on the loudspeaker for the Able family that it was the last call for boarding. I told her that was my flight and she began to very slowly put my items back into my bag one by one while also telling me how I should've come earlier seemingly amused. She kept chatting and nonchalantly putting stuff back in my bag. An airport official radio'ed back to the Delta desk that we were on the other side and coming. So I thought the ordeal was over. But My friend's Bag needed to be searched and the woman started off slowly. I was like, oh no, I will meet you at the gate and go ahead and board. I ran to the gate with my baby and my backpack which was still unzipped from the search, But my friend was nowhere to be found for at least five more minutes. They said they absolutely had had to go so even though my boarding pass had been scanned, I told him I could not leave and get stuck in Atlanta without my friend. So about one minute after they officially closed the door my friend came running. She was completely traumatized by her search... she literally had nothing in her backpack. it was pretty empty and the lady took everything out and swabbed it and was talking the whole time. then the Jamaican lady dropped something on the ground and slowly picked it up during the search. Her attitude was literally like not only did she not care if we missed our flight (which is understandable safety first) but it honestly felt like she was actively trying to make us miss our flight. When she was searching our stuff, she was taunting us by going slower and slower and lecturing us on how we should've got there earlier We would have had plenty of time if it weren't for her spiteful actions. We rebooked our missed flight which is an extreme hassle when flying with a small infant. I was stuck at the airport at 6 AM with no car seat because I had checked it on the missed flight. if I weren't from Gainesville I would've been screwed and stranded with no babies supplies that were also checked.

Only option in Gainesville but always convenient to fly from nearby home. Provide services to major towns in USA, though tickets without advanced booking seems to be crazy expensive! So plan at least 4 month and buy your ticket in reasonable price.

Great had a panic attack. First flight ✈️ since 1987. Captain came back gave me a certificate 1st time flyer with a set of wings. Captain Jefferson. Thank you to the flight crew that stood beside me and helped me through the panic attack. Appreciate everyone's efforts. Kenni and Kiara Delta Crew amazing. Totally deserve a raise these ladies. Thanks for the great experience

American Airlines shuts down all counter services except 2hrs to 45min before a flight…too bad they don’t communicate this with any of their passengers. A TSA agent informed me that I was “2 minutes too late” and that this bizarre time limit was communicated to all passengers upon ticket purchase. I checked my ticket, my boarding pass, my checked bag receipt for that information - no where to be found. About 5 minutes after I arrived at the counter an American Airlines employee went by and when I called to him to ask for help he kept his back to me and hollered over his shoulder that I was too late. When an American agent finally came out 20-30minutes after the flight had taken off instead of apologizing they stated oh well that information is on American Airlines website, but he was unable to provide that source for me. Oh they also don’t have a single staff member at the desk besides the 2hr-45min window…so if you have an emergency too bad. TSA is incredibly rude and arguably stubborn when you request help - even though the airport is so slow that half of them are just sitting around eating snacks. A past review said the TSA was on a power trip and I have to agree for at least one staff member - the communications I had with a young gentlemen were very condescending and abrasive. Definitely an inappropriate job placement for this man. Oh also don’t bother asking for a help desk - according to TSA “no one is ever there.” Thank goodness there wasn’t an emergency. Hopefully the airport manager can see this review and address the aggressive staff communication issues or provide clearer communication to customers about this airports unique timelines
