Gabriel Archer Tavern - American restaurant in Williamsburg - 5800 Wessex Hundred, USA

Been before. Went for a work lunch for the holidays. Good food. Had their turkey and Brie with a side salad. Ate the entire thing. Had their Apple butter pie. Not overly sweet. Their rum raisin homemade ice cream is pretty good.👍🏼. Thanks to the gentlemen that bought us a glass of wine. ,❤️. Shout out to Jenna in her festive wear. She was a great server. She knows that menu and can certainly sell it. Here's to fun, friendship, and fellowship. Thanks for a great time.

I had the steak, and my wife had the fish. Absolutely delicious, the waiter was very helpful and attentive. A great spot off the beaten path, well worth the price!

I visited the Tavern at Williamsburg Winery a couple of weeks ago. I had a great time. The hostess, Cassidy, was nice, helpful, and gave a great recommendation for a wine. I was given a taste before committing to the wine (definitely “I do” after the tasting. There was a lot of different areas to have your wine, there kids taking prom pictures, there was music, and a tasting room. I enjoyed my meal, and so did the other person that was with me. Definitely worth the trip. For those who like shopping, the Outlets is about 20 minutes away.

I used to be a fan and frequent this restaurant. I loved their fish tacos and chocolate pie dessert, but they have removed or changed favorite items. Despite multiple pleas from many customers to return favorite items to the menu, the executive chef not only refuses, he turns his head away. For an area that has fine restaurants failing frequently (like Prime 46 Forty and Art Cafe 26), you’d think they’d care more about their customers. But apparently not.

Definitely try the crab cakes, I was incredibly pleased with how they came out! The tuna fish tacos were a bit dry. We still crushed them though Compared to other restaurants we went to during our stay at Williamsburg this one was It is a bit pricey for a lunch experience

Good service, great wine and food! Wife and I did the white and sweet flights with the charcuterie board - very nice. BLT and my wife's tacos were delicious! Some unique options on the cocktail menu. Peach-blueberry crisp was just okay - vanilla ice cream would help it out.

Every year, after visiting the vineyard, we go to the tavern for lunch. The tavern is very cozy with full window views of the vines. The service is always outstanding and the food, just amazing. You know that you are being taken care of by well trained chefs, just by the presentation of the foods (see my pics) And of course the taste, just delicious. Christian, our waiter was great as well. I had the crab and corn soup which was deliciously topped with fresh cilantro. Truly amazing. Then I had the lamb sliders, which were out of this world!! My wife had the chicken tacos, which she enjoyed thoroughly. The shrimp tacos were also delicious as well, the burger was on fire delicious and the salad was a wonderful blend of arugula, wheat berries and pumpkin seeds topped with a nice crab cake. A must visit!

Just like a tavern experience, but with better food. Some dishes are seasonal, like the ginger carrot soup.
