Gable House Bed and Breakfast Inn - Bed & breakfast in Durango - 805 E 5th Ave, USA

Tracie and Charlie hosted our entire team at Gable House while we attended an event in Durango. Not only are Tracie and Charlie incredibly kind, personable, accommodating, and fun, but it was a perfect location for our event which was taking place on Main Street. It was about a 10-minute walk to Main Street and the grounds are meticulously landscaped with beautiful grass, trees, gardens, and sitting areas all around the property. You can tell they have made some nice updates to the house and ensure that each room has adequate outlets, USB ports, robes, and Gable House branded bathroom products (which smelled amazing) - all things that are meaningful to me when staying somewhere. Tracie and Charlie would also text us when they brought out homemade muffins so we could enjoy them. You will be so pleased to stay at Gable House!

The hosts, Tracie and Charlie, were very welcoming without being intrusive. We did however really enjoy our conversations with them. This was our second visit to the Gable House having been there last year when we rode the Durango/Silverton train. This year's visit was to celebrate our 52nd anniversary. We were not disappointed. The historic home is well-maintained and the addition of in-room air conditioning made the August heat a non-event.||In addition to the surroundings, the highlight of both trips was the unique breakfast offerings each morning. If ever in the Durango area looking for a comfortable accommodation, my wife and I would highly recommend the Gable House Bed & Breakfast.

Excellent location in walking distance of downtown Durango, and delicious breakfasts! Innkeepers Tracie and Charlie go out of their way to make their customers comfortable and well informed about all the current activities in the area, plus suggestions for dining each evening. The house is replete with Victorian era furniture and decor: each room has its story to tell. Enjoy the Gable House and its history!

Wonderful stay at the Gable House! We've been going to Durango for more than 20 years and never knew of this B&B. The accommodations were outstanding. We stayed in the Schutt room, which had a great little balcony and private bath. We appreciated that they allowed dogs, and only charged a $30 fee for the stay. Their place is centrally located and an easy, short walk to tons of dining and attractions. The breakfasts were amazing - fresh made and delicious! Charlie and Tracie were wonderful hosts, and very accommodating. Definitely would love to stay there again, and highly recommend the Gable House!

Our stay at Gable House in Durango was absolutely delightful! Tracey and Charlie were the perfect hosts, making us feel right at home with their warm hospitality and great conversation. The breakfast was a highlight, featuring delicious homemade muffins and a mouthwatering frittata with local sausage. Our room was cozy and comfortable. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and can't wait to return!

My husband and I loved our experience at the historic GH B&B. What a find! We were visiting town from the east coast for a destination weekend wedding. Gable House was recommended on the couple’s wedding website as one of the options for places to stay. Tracie and Charlie are such fun, gracious, and attentive hosts and we had a lovely and relaxing stay. Coffee on the front porch in the mornings, enjoying the garden and watching the birds, is a treat. Tracie is an excellent chef and prepares witty and delicious breakfasts every morning. She makes her own granola that rivals any I’ve had. They locally source much of their food, along with their soaps and bath amenities. The location of the Gable House is perfect, in walking distance to the downtown area and many local restaurants and fun activities. My husband and I highly recommend staying here!

Wonderful Bed and Breakfast perfectly located to all the cute shops in Durango, Colorado. Our room was very comfortable and hospitality from Charlie and Tracy was top notch. The neighborhood is charming and great for walks. Very highly recommended.

We filled the house for our family reunion and it was absolutely perfect. The innkeepers Stacie and Charlie are incredible hosts and made everyone in the family feel comfortable and welcomed. The breakfast was superb. The location in Durango is walkable to just about everything. Highly recommend this establishment.
