We stopped in for lunch into this bustling restaurant. It is a tight space and it was full. Our waitress was wonderful. The food came out very quickly. Lots of food options and cocktails. Lots of TVS for watching some afternoon football. The food was good and my hot chocolate on a cold day was great. Don't let the business stop you from waiting.
Let me start by saying, I do like this place and so do others as every time we stop here it is packed, which isn't saying a lot as the place is small.
We arrived with the intention of sitting on the outside patio. Timing was perfect as we walked out a couple was leaving and offered us their table. The waitress was extremely attentive which was a great sign. She took our drink order and returned in record time with our drinks. We were still checking out the menu and she said she would return. My wife ordered a mulberry mule drink at the recommendation of the waitress and really liked it.
That is where the waitress' attention diminished for us. She walked by numerous times and even though I pointed to her she would walk back the other direction and not even look at our table. I will admit it was busy but it almost seemed deliberate at one point. Finally, we got her attention and my wife ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich in a wrap and I ordered the Walking Taco Nachos. My wife enjoyed the wrap although she thought it was missing something and seemed a little fry. The Nachos were right on. It was a heaping plate of dorito style chips with queso, jalapeños and shredded cheese all layered on the plate and covered in lettuce. Every chip had topping on it.
I would recommend the Walking Taco Nachos, just make sure you have someone to share them with.
The patio area was delightful, umbrellas to block the sun and a nice little breeze going through the alleyways make it really comfortable.
Highly recommend as the food us good, finding a place to sit can be uncomfortable. I would have given it five stars but the lack of attention seemed almost deliberate. We will return.
This is a great find! It is in a fun area. Indoor and outdoor seating. I had a quinoa power bowl. It had cucumbers, sweet potato, brussel sprouts, carrots, tomatoes, and peppers. Multiple vegetarian choices.
My husband had the walking taco wrap. Jalapeño cheese tortilla, non-greasy taco beef, cheese, tomatoes, crispy nacho strips, candied jalapeños. He loved it! We both finished our plates. Shelly, our server was friendly and helpful. Even the customers were nice.
Delicious beef barley soup and slider special, good Moscow mule. The menu said Guinness on tap, but when i order, it was in a can. The taste was good anyway. Friendly server, cook and patrons.
The Special was Lasagna and it's the best I've had in years. The service and Staff were Amazing and very Friendly. I will definitely be going back soon.

Just had a very nice lunch here. We were waiting on another party member. Our waitress was patient and attentive. Great service. She was so sweet to my daughters. The food was great as well. I was especially impressed with the quality of the side salad within a bar-like setting. Thanks so much!
We visited here a few times while in Des Moines, IA. It's a real chill place with a great selection of drinks. The best part is the variety of gluten free options. Almost 80% of their appetizers are GF. They offer gluten free buns, Tortillas, salads and sides. We were never disappointed! Thanks for making it our go to place in Des Moines!

Bought lunch for a client and their staff today. Ordered online and had it delivered. Order was delivered in the time window they provided. Food was fantastic, no mistakes. Everybody loved what they ordered and they all planned to take family to the
My wife and myself went in for lunch because I have always been obsessed with the chicken strip melt. Some locations it's mediocre but still good but the one I had here was nice and hot with everything just spot on to how perfectly toasted the bread
We've worked with the owner of Corazon coffee multiple times for our client appreciation events. Nate knows his coffee beans and is easy to work with. This shop also offers a variety of teas if you prefer that over coffee.
I cannot say enough kind words about all the staff and coaches at OTF WDM. The workouts are challenging, but doable, and Iâve seen real results. The environment is positive and encouraging, and I always feel welcome.
We went out for drinks, the staff was very attentive and had great suggestions. Every drink was created to perfection. I really enjoyed the Winchester old fashioned and the case of the Mondays. We are looking forward to a return visit.
Every time I come visit Des Moines, I have to stop here. You want to be reminded of home (New York), and eat REAL pizza ð, this is it. The owner is from NY, and brought NY here. The moment you enter the store, YOU KNOW youâre home. I love this p
I love coming here on Thursdays for the farmer's market! It's a fun way to support local vendors which is important for the area's economy. There are usually a few performers along the street as well as a band at the pavilion. The additional food tru

Attended a friend's wedding. There's room for about 100 people. If you are looking for a secluded woodsy atmosphere, this is it!
The Carnitas Tacos were delicious, so much meat packed in each one. The atmosphere is modern and clean, and the service was great. The starter salsa was good as well, and the chips were thick and crispy. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.
