We go to Fuzzy's pretty often for the good vibes, good eats, and good drinks. Unfortunately I'm going to find another spot from now on all because of one rude bartender who thinks yelling at customers is part of her job description. I won't even go into further detail, but everyone with me agreed that this bartender must have been having a horrible day to yell at someone at 7:00 PM on a Thursday. Couldn't even enjoy my drink after that costumer service. I should have stuck to dry January until I found a better bartender.
I went around 2pm on Saturday July 1st. I got the breakfast burrito, my buddy got the carne asada burrito, we got chips and queso, we both got two tacos. He got beef, I got brisket and chicken. Overall, the food was edible, but bland. The tacos, as many mention have little meat and overloaded with lettuce. They meat all around was also pretty flavorless. The chips and queso were my favorite as it’s the least hard to mess up. Also weirdly enough I got a cup for water, the water tasted horrible, and then tried lemonade and it was just as bad. The service was good and food was made quickly, just the flavors were not there. The burrito was also pretty flavorless and bland on both ends. I haven’t been to a fuzzys in about a two years and remember it being so good, but this one was more disappointing than we’d hoped. Also the crowd there wasn’t too busy or rowdy. It was 2pm so no parties going on as expected.
The food here is amazing, I have never had a bad experience here and I have eaten there several times. The breakfast burritos are top notch, the staff is amazing and the bartenders know how to make great drinks. 10 out of 10 would recommend, you will not be disappointed in the service and portion amounts.
My husband and I eat the tacos here every week. He has brisket on corn and l have carnitas on corn. Both are always delicious with lots of meat and the usual toppings. Always great service. Hilda is such a ray of sunshine taking our orders. The only thing that bothers us is sometimes there is music coming from the kitchen that is different than the overhead speakers. We find this very annoying. I feel sure that this is not what Fuzzies intends. It is not the type of music. Play one or the other not both at the same time.
We always feel welcome when dining at Fuzzy's. Hilda works at the front counter and greets us with a smile each time we place our order. She also expedites our food when we do take-out to add to our pleasant experience.
With all the actual Mexican and quality taco joints you can go to in amarillo this is the last place I'd go for food. The only reason I might go there again is for the atmosphere, have a drink, and eat some chips and salsa. The only reason I have pictures of the tacos on my phone is because I sent them to my brother and sister-in-law and said..."is this what Fuzzys tacos are supposed to look like?" They replied pretty much... drowned in white ice burg walmart lettuce..unless you drown them in some kind of sauce they're just not worth eating...
I placed a pick-up order on the app about 5 minutes before our Fuzzy’s opened for breakfast. I arrived at the store about 10 minutes afterwards. When I walked in, I asked the young lady at the bar about my order and she went to the kitchen window to check on it. The three gentlemen in the kitchen said it would be ready soon, so I told the young lady I would wait there for my order so she could do what she needed to do. A few minutes in, I noticed the cook (who I later discovered was the manager, Luis) was cooking flour tortillas. I had ordered soft corn tortillas because I am unable to eat flour; I also have experienced MANY times when this location has given me flour tortillas, despite my request for corn, and I’ve needed them to remake my food. Hoping to avoid it this time around, I asked Luis to verify that they were using corn tortillas. He snapped at me, “What?! It’s almost ready!” Luis then shook his head and mumbled something under his breath, and then said something to the two men with him. The young man accompanying him in the kitchen then rolled up my tacos and placed them on a tray (even though my order was a to-go order), not looking at me or saying anything. Seeing that they were clearly not going to bag my TO-GO order, I grabbed my tacos and left. “Thank you guys for your kindness!” I shouted as I walked away. As I began to exit the store, I asked the young lady who the manager was…she told me it was Luis (the guy making my food). I don’t know what Luis was going through this morning, but his attitude toward me was not okay. As mentioned, I’ve had several issues of my order being wrong, so my inquiry was not out of line. Luis’ behavior, however, was. I frequented this Fuzzy’s often…not anymore. UPDATE: As you can see below, the restaurant owner asked me to reach out to them to discuss further. I sent them an email on October 27, 2023, as instructed. As of November 27, 2023, I have yet to hear anything from this Fuzzy's franchise owner. Conclusion...their response was lip-service, nothing more.
This past experience was downright bad. The food tasted like it was a week old and the water tasted like they had a pool in the back and ran a tube into it so they could get water. I got a fish taco and a shrimp taco. Usually I get the fish taco and it’s really good. But this time it was garbage. I’m rating 3 stars because of their decent history but this past time was not good.

Tacos Garcia is a delightful, family-friendly eatery with delicious food. We highly recommend the chili rellenos with queso and the chicken quesadillas. The restaurant is spotlessly clean and the service is first class.
