I went to visit a friend at the FutureCare Lochearn. When I proceeded to leave, I realized that there was only one working elevator, preventing guests and staff from easy accessing their desired floors. I waited about 10 minutes before the working elevator finally stopped on the 3rd floor. It seemed that the working elevator was not operating properly either. While it was frustrating for me, I felt very sorry for the staff who were transporting patients or needing to get to other floors to complete their job responsibilities. Hopefully, on my next visit, the elevators will be working properly
While visiting a resident The fire alarm sounded for more than 15 minutes.
All room doors were shut as well as doors, leading from one section of the facility to the other and no announcements of any kind were made to the residents or visitors. Soon Fire engines arrived still not knowing what was going on, which was cause for some anxiety. Thankfully though it seems to have been something minor. The fire engines departed after about 10 to 15 minutes. The not knowing what was going on was the worst of the experience .
Starting with the receptionist who was very pleasant and the nursing assistant who actually fed the patient made my visit very rewarding. The nursing assistant was attentive and made conversation with the patient while she fed him. You can tell that she loves her profession. It's not a job for her. She cares deeply for those that she serves. Every medical institution need people like her. She's a keeper and deserves a raise!
I was very disappointed when I visited my mother-in-law, Bernice Johnson. She called me about being wet again. When I arrived at 8pm the night nurse was beginning to clean her up. She got called away suddenly and apologized. My mother-in-law wanted to get out of her wet pants so bad that I had to helped her. When I took off those pants, they wet so soaking wet that I could have wrung them out. The wheel chair pad, the wheel chair and the floor under the wheelchair was wet. She had to have been sitting there in that sopping wet diaper for hours. This is not the first time that I have taken home wet clothes to wash. I am usually a reasonable person but this is unexceptable. They have to better.
There are no chairs in the room when visiting your family member. That doesn’t make any sense. I just had two hip replacement and I couldn’t even sit down in my cousin room. I was hurting so bad. But I had to do something’s for her to make sure she was comfortable.
I visited over a dozen skilled nursing homes in the area earlier this year for my dad and found the process stressful and traumatic, as I searched for the right fit for his medical and living needs. My experience at Futurecare Lochearn was different to all the other facilities. People were smiling. Everyone said hello. The halls were bustling with activity (staff and residents). It was clean. It didn't feel like any of the other places I visited in person or looked at online. Its now been over 3 months and my family have not been disappointed with our decision, as my dad is thriving in his new environment. It remains apparent that what I experienced when I visited the first time was not a coincidence. Huge thanks to the admissions staff, front desk staff, medical nurses and aids, administrative office staff and everyone else who provide my family with the peace of mind that my dad is receiving the care that he needs
The staff are always smiling, they create an environment that is welcoming and shows they truly care for the people they are caring for. The building presents wells, is home-like, clean, and pleasant. The therapy department is phenomenal and truly restores the function and quality of life for so many. The leadership team is engaged, on the units, available, and willing to assist with any concerns until satisfaction. Tremendous team with caring devoted staff.
Excellent visit with my Auntie! Excellent customer service from the reception desk to the nursing station. My Auntie's room was fresh and clean and she appear to be very happy! Great visit!
Bill and Tonya were INCREDIBLE hosts. The breakfast was delicious, the room was spacious and well maintained. Also, Zulu was the cutest company for our breakfasts. Truly the only place weâll ever stay in Baltimore.
