Loved the gingerbread latte! Very cozy specialty coffee shop with great coffee, very friendly staff, and a nice vibe. Top spot for great coffee and great service in Philly. Also, the lattes are LARGE, so I’d even suggest sharing one. Their breads and pastries looked lovely, but I did not try anything. Sadly they lack vegan food options outside the avocado toast and overnight oats. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Philly.
Disappointing and overpriced. A 12oz drip coffee and a plain croissant cost a whopping $10! The coffee didn’t even taste good. It was very bitter. The croissant was called a “butter croissant” but it was dry, thick, and doughy. I think it must have been sourdough or whole wheat. It was not good and the staff didn’t even offer to heat it up for me. Prices at this place need to be posted clearly, especially for pastries. The place is pretty, but the energy is kinda passive aggressive. The entrance and bathroom is inaccessible for those with mobility issues. I’m sad because I’ve passed this place any times and was excited to try it.
Function Coffee Labs is a real gem! Staff was friendly and you could tell they enjoyed working together behind the bar with passion for quality product and great service. The anaerobic geisha was outstanding on espresso. We enjoyed our pour overs - the Colombia pink bourbon and the Ethiopia ardi natural. Highly recommend for both the snobbiest of snobs (me) and anyone looking for a caffeine boost (normal people). Either way, Function has everything you need- great atmosphere, indoor and outdoor seating, delicious drinks, delectable food (didn’t have any but it looked amazing), and most importantly: great service. Will certainly go back next time we are in town !
Excellent neighborhood coffee destination with a laid back vibe and an interesting selection of drinks. The self-service milk and sweetener station had my personal favorites — oat milk and simple syrup. Love to see a place that has both. I tried the iced Costa Rica Las Lajas Perla Negra pour-over this time around, it had a complex flavor and the strength level was nice. Next time I'm thinking I'll go for the espresso.
What a great little gem this is to find in Philadelphia. This is a delightful treat with the sourdough cinnamon rolls (for sure a first time try and oh my days it is delicious). The area is a bit small, but it is a cozy spot for a rainy day for sure. The Cardamom Caramel Latte was superb. I enjoyed the coffee that was given that I opted for purchasing two of the coffee bags to take back home to Chicago
Cortado was very aromatic and flavorful. The staff were very friendly and the shop was cozy.
Mocha latte & hot chocolate were both very good. Loved my rye salted chocolate chip cookie & delicious cinnamon roll. Everything was wonderful. Dogs are welcome & service was super sweet. Definitely are a great place & artsy music morning vibe. Feel Good type of Jawn.
Great drinks! Such a beautiful cozy place for a single and couples. The indoor space could be small tho.

First time here, loved the friendly service and their Valentine waffle! I got it without whipped cream; it was so yummy. Just the right kind of sweet with my coffee. I also liked the design of the place. It is modern and has indoor/outdoor seating.

Great place to work! I easily got a table and set up my computer to work for about half an hour. There was a large group there at the time so it was a bit loud but manageable as I was far enough to tune them out and the group wasn't too loud. I espec
