Fumiyoshi Japanese Restaurant - Japanese restaurant in Hudson - 3086 Hickory Blvd, USA

Hate to leave a 2 star review. We really did love this place. But the price and quality just don't match up anymore. We usually do take out here once a month or every other. My best advice is to probably just not come when it's busy. But for a example of the food tonight. We needed well done streak and only broccoli. ( My plate) Was given under cooked steak and all the veggies that came with the meal. It was sent back. ( They didn't seem happy about that. ) They modified the food, we went home. The streak still had some pink, a few random veggies through out food. Noodles had no flavor. Then unfortunately my husband and daughter's plate wasn't good either. Noticeably smaller portions. The rice was very sticky and no flavor either. The chicken on his was cooked through, but not cooked enough if that makes sense. Needless to say none of us ate it and that is NOT a thing. We have not been the happiest the last few times but this time was honestly unacceptable. Might try it again later this year. We love this place but lately just not worth it.

I’m giving this place the one here in Hudson a 2-Star because their food were VERY expensive and I actually thought my order was gonna be nearly $15 but I never expected my hibachi shrimp & chicken combination with a order of California Roll to be a little over $20 since the man charged me!! I guess next time I’ll go the one in Lenoir since that place is cheaper!!

I don't think I could ever get enough of Fumiyoshi. Their pepper steak meal is so good each and every time. It never falls short of soooo yummy. I definitely will drive the extra miles to get there. It's worth every bit of it. Thank you Fumiyoshi. You guys are awesome!

Tried it after school! I got the Philly roll and dragon roll! With a kids teriyaki chicken. Sushi was very good! Good proportion from rice and filling! It wasn’t soggy like some restaurants! I’d say it’s perfect. Looking forward to trying it again!

Great place to eat. My family loves the food and as someone who works in a restaurant as well I understand that precautions must be taken to protect from fraudulent purchases. However I must say that as a family that frequents here often (yes I know you can’t memorize every customer) I feel that when you are addressing issues such as inspecting customers cards you must know the correct course of action. My issue being that my husband felt as though he was racially profiled and instead of an apology he was met with an obnoxious attitude which made him feel even more as though he was correct for feeling as though he was profiled.

Picked up our food and decided to try their soup. Ordered three to go along with our steak and chicken. When we got home and tried the soup, it was awful. I called to complain and they were nice and gave me a credit for the next time I came by using my phone number. When I came to order more food and use my credit, they said they had no record of a credit using my phone number and said they were not giving away free food. I told them that I would not be back !!!

I hate writing this but I have given this place many chances as it was one of my favorite places to eat. After covid they slowly went downhill. Prices went up and the quality of food went down. I had hopes that it was just bad times and they would pick back up to the quality of what they were before and I was still ordering once or twice a week, but the last time I ordered from here I found two flies that had been cooked into the food, normally I would say "accidents happen" but this isn't the first time I have found a bug or something that shouldn't be in my food.. I was skeptical when I noticed the sanitation rating, but now I can say for sure I will no longer be eating here.
