Fujiyama - Japanese restaurant in Avon - 35840 Chester Rd, USA

I don't mind hibachi, so I was okay with trying this restaurant out for my granddaughter's birthday. The atmosphere was lackluster & a little dark. I thought the dining room itself was quite dull compared to the koi fish in the makeshift pond in the lobby. The chef was entertaining. He loses a star because he tossed a mixing spoon amount of eggs in my hair. The waitress just did her job--nothing noticeably more attentive or extra. The shining point of the night was what they did to celebrate my granddaughter's birthday. It was nice & uh, quite surprising.

I love this place just to dine in, I haven't done the hibachi here. However I did order a hibachi entree and it was pretty good, chicken was a little dry. I love that clear or house soup it's delicious 😭 their sashimi appetizer is good and the tuna app but I can't remember what it's called. Obviously edamame and gyoza is good. What else... Their little side salad is yummy. I didnt like the entree chicken fried rice it was just plain white chicken no seasoning. We have good service here and overall we love it. Going to try something else new next time!

The chef (pictured) and server (Julia), both are awesome! The chefs fun and entertaining. Julia is so peasant, kind and hardworking. The food is hot, tasty and delicious. The chicken and steak is always fresh. They accommodate for food allergies too. I recommend making reservations on Friday and Saturday or any holidays. Birthday surprise if you tell the waitress (very cool)! Bathrooms are clean, kids love the fish up front, parking is easy. They do have a restaurant and bar area. Cool date night or family friendly restaurant. Best hibachi spot in the area!

I normally don't give 5 stars UNLESS everything is PERFECT. Everything tonight was perfect on my mother in laws birthday. The staff was awesome, the hibachi was excellent and most of all our Chef Andy was absolutely AMAZING. One of THE BEST if not the best we have ever had from all the places we have visited coast to coast. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much for an awesome evening!

I loved the decorations, the staff is so nice, the guy who cooked our food was nice and was very entertaining. And they have a cake slice if it was your birthday, and the lights dim with the music playing. I would say it's a amazing place to go to for birthdays. The food I was served was from the kitchen, I didn't like it as much, but I'm more of a picky person. But it was a amazing experience, but was expensive for a table of 5.

Always love this place! We are here at least once a month! The food is always fantastic. The spicy sauce they put on the scallops is amazing! Huge portions so I always leave full and have enough for lunch the next day! Their bartender is amazing and makes drinks much stronger than you would think LOL Always a good time and we have never been disappointed by the service or the chefs!

Cannot believe how disgusting this food was. In one of my rolls was friend shrimp tails. This what a waste of money. All the rolls were so soggy and no flavor.

Had a great visit here. When I got in they seated me immediately. The waitress did a good job attending. The root beer was ok, I couldn’t quite figure out what brand it was. Wasn’t one of the big four. I ordered the sushi dinner which was excellent. They made it very fast the way I ordered it and it was very tasty. It also came with a soup and salad which were good too.
