Fuji Sushi - Elk Grove is my go-to sushi place. The food, staff, and atmosphere are amazing. It's a clean atmosphere and a local favorite. Definitely recommend the Pepper Fin; It's seared tuna with a blend of spicy sauce and jalapeños.. Wish they brought the Chinese food section back, the salt and pepper shrimp, in particular always great. If you love sushi, you will love this place. No complains here

Great place, they just reopened and the service is good! The people are very polite, respectful and professional. The food for being a all you can eat option was the best in the Elk Grove Sac area, you can order from the bar and they have a beautiful menu full of different options. You can try any meal and if fresh and cook to the perfect point.

Fuji used to be my go-to place for AYCE sushi when I lived in the area years ago. We were in the area again recently so we decided to go there for dinner and see if anything has changed since the pandemic. I was surprised to see all the old workers there! The food was decent but nowhere close to how it used to be. The sashimi was fresh and the cooked entrees such as grilled salmon and hamachi Kama were good. However, I wish there was more variety with the sushi choices since all the rolls they had seem very similar with a generic combination of shrimp and cucumber slathered in mayo and unagi sauce. The mixed tempura was a little disappointing as some of the pieces tasted dry like it had been sitting out for long or were leftovers from lunch. While it is understandable for them to take out the hot buffet bar since it wasn’t popular back then, I also didn’t like their new process of having to flag down your server to order hot food since it was often difficult to find them in the first place.

This was our first visit to Fuji Sushi. We were invited to meet family there on a Friday evening. My initial impression was that it was difficult to tell from the outside if they were open. There was no exterior lighting or windows visible to provide a clue because of the entrance facade. The crowd was made up of young parents and children as well as couples. They all looked like they had been here before. The place was lively with loud conversations. One recommendation I would make is to make reservations and to be sure your entire party arrives at the same time. You will not be seated until that happens. There is a food bar with the little boats of food floating by with premade small dishes. Or you can sit at a regular table. Service is provided with your initial order of drinks and appetizers; which were too greasy for me. For the main meal you need to go to the food bar line and tell the sushi chef what you want. You can wait for your order or you can try to listen for it from your table when it is yelled out. I am not an experienced sushi eater so I try to stay with rolls that are either baked or deep fried. I had the spicy jonni roll, which I don”t see on their menu at the time of this review. I loved it. Three times. Fuji Sushi is a buffet and their per-person prices as reasonable, unless if you’re a child or not that hungry. For the four of us with drinks, appetizers, meal, and tip it was over $200 dollars. Not bad and very comparable to any other outing. Would I go back? I don’t believe so, based on the overall experience.

The food, service and staff are amazing! We came here at 5:00 sharp on a Monday. Right after we were seated at the bar, all the floating boats were already filled with sushi. The lead chef was friendly. It seems they got many regular customers. We tried many delicious sushi from the floating boats, and there were more options you could order from the menu. The price was pretty good. We’ll come back!

Friendly staff and clean atmosphere. Reasonably priced for an all you can eat. About $25 per adult, without any add on. The only two issues I had were with the food. The seared sushi tasted like burning electrical wire. Or at least what the corresponding smell would be. The only thing I can think of that might have been the cause was the butane torch they were using. I've used kitchen torches and some models can definitely modify the flavor of a meal. I'd suggest a different searing tool. The other minor issue was they go heavy on the sauces. The sauces are good, but the flavor of the fish definitely gets drowned out.

Please watch out for the lead cook, this guy is amazing. He will remember all your orders and swiftly prepare everything. The waiters, there is plenty of them, will always care for you and provide you with drinks and all sorts of appetizers. Sitting at the bar gives you access to all the wonderful pieces that are floating on cute wooden ships. All in all, the quality of the food is amazing and the prices incredibly affordable. You have an AYCE model that is cheaper for lunch. PS. There is an incredibly tall waiter working there: thank you for your great service and for remembering us.

You can get some pretty alright sushi here. The rotating sushi selection at the bar is pretty limited, so probably best to just order something from the chef. The all-you-can-eat deal offered here comes out to be ~$30 per person. The servers were attentive and actively made sure all our needs such as drinks or side orders were taken care of. Kind of hard to get a hold of the chef though, with the high countertops blocking your view of them. Overall, a pretty standard sushi bar. Not my favorite but it wasn't bad.

Decent place, the restaurant itself seems a bit outdated, no booths seating, good food and service. One minus on my visit was the miso soup not hot when it came out. Quite disappointing in cold weather. All other food was good. We tried pot stickers,
