Frontier Inn North - Motel in Houston - 16510 North Fwy, USA

Just finished staying at this place for a week in search of the best affordable extended stay in this area. My room was decently sized, had wooden floors, and hot water except for the first day when they did some repairs. There was a TV with like 8 fuzzy channels, one roll of toilet paper, mostly clean towels, and some shampoo/lotion. Gotta appreciate the lotion for us folk with melanin. There's a little store in the entrance with snacks and drinks. Also, the weekly rate is very low compared to other hotels in the area. There's wifi that is still under the name of America Best Value but it works. Very slow though. The girl at the front desk during the day is nice. They are pet friendly. The location is great if you work in this area or off of I-45. Those are the positives. The negatives are that the room was old with damaged furniture, poorly cleaned, and filled with roaches. The bed smelled a little and I'm not sure if the blankets/sheets were actually cleaned. The A/C worked but heater was broken. The room had no trash can or remote for the TV or chair for the desk but maintenence did end up bringing them. There's no laundromat or room services or room cleaning. The outside of the hotel is falling apart and the kids running around late night (1am) were loud/annoying as I worried about them damaging my car. Plus, they should be inside. The insulation was non-existent and I could hear every step above me or in front of the door. Didn't hear any fights or gunshots but I'm sure it happens. Overall I'm rating three stars because of the price but if they kept the price the same and actually tried to keep the place cleaner it would be five despite the other issues.

I rented a room for a week and the room was absolutely discussing. I didn’t have hot water and I was told that they were working on the hot water heater thermostat. I was moved to another room that a little bit cleaner but the hot water issue was not fixed. On the sixth night people from another part of the motel were fighting outside my room on the stairwell. That’s the kind of people that you can expect to be renting next door to you. 0 stars. The place is a dump !!!!

Only thing that was good was the lady at the front desk .. she was very nice 5 stars to her! When we got into the room didn’t even settle in yet, ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES & GNATS.. MOLD IN CEILING IN THE BATHROOM. did have hot water .. & I think I was bit by bedbugs .. people was yelling outside at 1 am partying didn’t feel safe. They need to really shut this hotel down but I understand people actually live here weekly… anyways don’t rent here if it was your last option , I would… but if you have other options go else where.. also room was $70 a night NOT WORTH IT !! Sign advertised $39 and $139 weekly .!! ?!! It was almost 300 weekly … channels didn’t have a lot only like 5 or 6 .. currently looking for an apartment so switching through hotels are hard but .. idk would actually be a good hotel if management cared about it any..

It Is Decent For A Bed & A Hot Shower At Night. The Sign Showed $209 Plus Tax Total Came Out To Be $290 or $70 A Day. That's Alot Of Tax! Room Looks Nice At First But Once You Get Settled In Reality Hits. There Are No Amenities. No Pool No Blow Dryer No Extra Towels, You Only Get One No Housekeeper, You Have To Find A Cart/Room And Clean Up Yourself Between 10AM-2PM. No Laundromat To Wash Your Dirty Linens & Clothes. No Kitchenette Even Though Theres A Big Sign That Says So. Roaches, Roaches & More Roaches. I Am Definitely Going To Have To Shake & Hot Box. I Wanted A Non-Smoking Room; there is no such thing. When The Neighbors Smoke Outside The Smell Comes Through The Room. Prices On Snacks Are $2 Even Though The Sign Says $1 Only 5 Channels On TV. And Its Full Of Static. The Room Is Humid With This A/C Unit. Only half of the refrigerator had gotten cold. They Basically Split The Property In Half Of Another Motel & Repainted The Outside. Great Vanity Mirror. Nice Desk Area. Spacious! The Place Will Get More Stars If The Owners Cared About It, Kept It Cleaned. Fumigated The Rooms As Needed, & Accommodated The Extended Guests Needs.

We all know this is not a 5 star stay. Let's just be honest, this place is disgusting, and it's falling apart, but it's affordable. Tiles literally fell off the wall as I was taking a shower. Oh, and management WILL fraudulently charge your card, deny it, and tell you to call the police. So, cash is probably a better idea, but even then, they just pocket it and you might get kicked out even if promised a room. The employees here have no integrity, no morals, and it seems as if they make it up as they go. This place needs better management. Someone needs to clean it up. What a shame.

The price is right. Our “non-smoking” room smelt of smoke and maybe something else. The bathroom didn’t seem clean. It does look like efforts have been made to redo the interior.

Very very affordable. Some rooms recently remolded. My room was just bit dirty, you get what you pay for. Lots of long term visitors,very freindly atmosphere, just bring some lysol. Lol
