Frog Creek Campground - Featured Reviews (280)
We enjoyed our overnight Stay. The Mgr/Owner was exceptionally nice and welcomed us. The grounds sit on the Creek where you can fish or just sit and relax. The dog run was large and well taken care of. This is not a place for children as I didn't see any here. Easy on and off the I-275/I-75... |You can't go wrong staying here.
I am a travel RN from Florida, came down here to work for 13 weeks. I cant not begin to express enough how wonderful, kind, and welcoming the staff at Frog Creek are. Everyone we have encountered here has been beyond helpful. They even offered to let us move campsites to a shady spot since we were going to be down here for an extended time during summer months. To say they are accommodating is an understatement, they have gone above and beyond to help us and make us comfortable during our time here. So much so I hope to be able to extend my job here to stay longer. One of the best campgrounds I've found in this area and on top of everything they are VERY affordable compared to other campsites in the area.
Won't return your deposit. No see- um mosquitoes we're terrible at evening! River may have a lot to do with it. No working with the property manager. No personality. Rent continues to climb! Can understand keeping my $250 deposit for holding spot for following year, but, the additional $1,100.00 could of been returned after them only having it about a week! I think office Debbie is pocketing the money. Won't let us talk to the owner.
Nice, quite spot. Extremely friendly staff and very friendly other campers around. Nice pool. Nice location. No shops. Cafe open during weekends, it seems. Washroom&toilet ok. Some shad. Not expensive in comparison with other sites. We particularly liked the pool and the very friendly other camper we met there.
What a hidden treasure...
Great for seniors...has all the basics of what you need... adjust your unrealistic expectations. This is not Disney ...No they do not have a huge waterpark with slides and fountains. But they do have a small swimming pool which often you find you have all to yourself.
Place is super clean...well maintained with wimsical touches like the concrete frog fishing.
Bonus is the little kayak launch and available kayak rentals to paddle Frog Creek which leads you into a mangrove maze known as Terra Ceia Preserve and ultimitly to Tampa Bay. Yes you can fish here...and many places are not accessible by boat which keeps it all peaceful.
Magnificent centuries old oak trees form a nice shaded canopy over the campgrounc
We stayed here a few years back, and I called to see if we could make a reservation. To my surprise, they now only allow 10 years or newer campers/motorhomes, which ours is 24 years old. I was a bit surprised, as usually only the fancy, more elite campgrounds do that, and although this is a nice campground, there's nothing fancy about it. I was disappointed, but their loss since our rig is beautiful, even after 24 years.
Wonderful RV Site with chilled Pool. Very clean and nicely kept. One the best we have seen in Florida! Very friendly owners and employees. They have a sense for beauty- remarkable! Kajaks to rent , fishing in creek seems possible. Pool table and gym. Well kept greens with old trees.|If we ever come back camping with the RV in Florida, this the place to stay a few days.
Our 5th year here. We now call this our winter home. We have made great friendships and love the many things going on here. If you get bored, it's truly your own fault.
Excellent place! My daughter (10 yrs) has been attending for 3 months and has fallen in love with BJJ. Coach, the teammates, the type of training are all great.
Coach John does great with the kids! I hope to be attending myself again soon.
I love this place. It's a great place for nature walks with the kids, great place to do a photo shoot, or just chill and take in a sunset. A true gem of Manatee county.
PS my kids 8 and 6 took all the pics.
Thereâs two trails here. All trails map is a combination of the two. Both trails are marked if you pay attention. Only a very small part of the trail near the road is overgrown. I made it through no problem (just watch out for spiders web.) Most of
