I come here for queso frito and it's one of the best places for this.
My complaint is no working bathroom for customers. I had to go really bad and thought I'll go at the restaurant I'm always buying the queso frito from and I'll go to the bathroom before ordering. I was literally close to having an accident. I had to plead to get them to tell me where I could go and then they said the grocery store, so you'd have to walk a really long distance to get to their bathroom, so if it's an emergency, it will exacerbate the possibility of having an accident. This was a horrible solution so I went outside walked to the left and was able to use the bathroom at the ice cream gelato shop. The guy there was so nice and they have keto ice cream that's sugar free. I have to investigate further to find out if the ingredients are acceptable but that may become another favorite.
This deal with the bathroom at this restaurant though, idk what to think? Miami is weird and lots of places claim to have a broken toilet because they don't want people using their bathroom which is unacceptable, especially for paying customers. I'll update on the bathroom situation and see if this improves or degrades. I'm so tired of not having access to bathrooms at places I go, that I've often been giving only 1 star to some places, mostly because of attitude. The people here weren't real proactive or sensitive or caring but they weren't outright rude and nasty to me like some places have been. I'm super clean and I don't stop up the toilets with paper like some people do so I definitely deserve to have a working toilet when necessary especially when it's an emergency. If their toilet is broken, places need to get proactive to suggest the closest one nearby, like inside the same plaza rather than clear across a grocery store parking lot, then who knows if it's in the front or rear of that store. Coordinate with a neighboring store and get permission for these emergencies. Also put up signs in both Spanish and English because although I speak some Spanish it's challenging dealing with a situation like this when they speak even less English than I do Spanish. Be proactive, be helpful, avoid causing your customers to pee their pants or continue longer in pain than absolutely necessary. I do my best to give accurate ratings based on my assessment of my experiences and adjust the rating accordingly especially when people earn their 5 stars back. I'm always hesitant to give less than 4 stars and only do so where warranted. I feel this helps other customers coming behind me.
Very clean, great tasting carne asada. Small place to eat inside, but very comfortable. Prices are ok compared to similar places.
Delicioso!....absolutely delicious very well seasoned and portioned...certainly coming back!!
I used to buy very often in this place but lately you can't go anymore, this Friday I bought roast beef and it was the worst option, the burned meat, the hard rice and the fried plantains had a bitter taste... it's a shame that this place with a such a rich culinary culture sell food with such poor quality
Amazing food. Absolutely cannot go wrong with here
Try this place. Awesome food. I always order the Gallo Pinto (rice and beans), platanitos (plantains), queso Frito (fried cheese), ensalada de col (coleslaw) and of course the carne asada con medio termino (grilled beef done medium). Prices used to be on the t.v. monitors but have been broken for months. My plate was $13.09 total with the Milca soda and fried cheese. Small place but you have outside seating. Probably better to order in advance for take-out. Meat and cheese is cooked to order so you have to wait a little longer but for me it taste better like this.
Great local spot if you’re looking for some good Spanish/ Nicaragua food. Their Carne Asada is made to order and temperature. The best in the city, hands down. Thank me later.
I've been to this place many times and the food was always great a little pricey but great food. Today I got 4 Carne asadas and they were terrible. The Gallo pinto ,plantains everything except the queso frito was terrible. I also got a papa rellena this was not a nica papa rellena it was filled with old rice and beef. Never returning here again what waste of $90 yes $90.
