First time visiting this establishment. We had a big group so lots of requests for the wait staff to balance. Our waitress did a great job taking care of the group. I had the fish and chips, very tasty. The fish portion for the money was small. Drinks were good, they were a little on the pricy side but not bad. Decent atmosphere, I would say a nice find overall.
Overall, a great place on the canal waterfront. Parking - They do offer valet parking and have a lot. RSVP - Not sure if required, as when we went, we called and were advised there was no wait and come on it. Food - They offer a variety of food with a kids menu. We tried the Frigates spicy shrimp (app), Jambalaya, Chicken Caribe, Caesar Salads, French fries. *Menu attached. Service - Waiter was very attentive, serviced our needs very well. Food came out quick and fresh. Atmosphere - Very laid back with indoor and outdoor seating. They also have an indoor and outdoor bar overlooking the waterway. I recommend a high table so you can enjoy the views. We took off 1 star for the hostess. The young lady sitting guests needs to be retrained as she sat people (some behind bushes and others at low tables) and they asked to be seated elsewhere, she talked “slick” under her breath at one point saying to a party of 4, sit where the F you want. I guess, she didn’t realize she was being watched.
We went here for New Year’s Eve. It is a beautiful place on the water. We sat outside. The atmosphere is very nice and we enjoyed our appetizers, drinks and dinner. The lobster bisque was delicious. Loved their salads, peel and eat shrimp, and fish and chips.
We came here with a party of 20. The waiter was busting his A making sure everyone was happy and drinks were served. The food was good, just was not what we were expecting. The guy behind the sushi counter also was taking orders and custom sushi. Amazing.
This was a stunning restaurant with a beautiful view! The food and service was also great! The valet was easy, no wait times (we went around 6pm) and got seated near the water right away. Great place!
We all enjoyed our food a lot. Big menu with something for everyone. The macadamia and coconut grouper sandwich was a good piece of fish. It was nice eating outside by the water. There is a big outside bar area with multiple TVs.
The food was excellent. I had a wonderful and filling lobster roll. One of us had the generous tuna bowl. It was a perfect choice. I know that because he's still talking about it! Another of our party had the grilled fish sandwich, and he loved it. The land-lover in our group had the grilled chicken sandwich, and she enjoyed it right to her last bite. The service was great, and the staff was attentive and delightful.
Frigate's was super busy but the staff was great! The food was awesome, and the atmosphere was festive. Our server as awesome but had a lot of tables, (no fault of his own). The hostess was sweet and accommodated us when we asked for a table closer to the water. They had a wide variety of food, including sushi!

Great little park hidden unless you're a local. Parking area for maybe 12-15 cars, a great walking path that goes from one end of the park to the other. You can walk along the sandy beach in complete solitude as there is nobody around. You can watch
