Friendship Inn Motel - Motel in Altus - 1800 N Main St, USA

I was familiar with Friendship Inn as I grew up in the area and a few of the reviews had said that they had renivated rooms, so I booked a room for my children and I. First, they could not find my reservation even though I had an email with the confirmation. They did have a room available. We got to the room and the air in the room was damp and there was an odor in the room. It was warm so I tried to lower the air conditioner. When I turned the knob on the unit to high cool, the air conditioner went off. It did not work, had to leave it on low cool. Next the shower was a tub/shower combination which is probably the one put in when in the motel opened. The shower was so low that my son and daughter could not fit under it. Also, when you stepped in one area of the tub it felt like you were going to fall through. There was a lot of give. When making the reservations I requested queen beds, but we were given double. My sons feet hung off the end of the bed. We were only staying one night so we braved the conditions. On a positive note the ladies at the front desk were courteous and friendly.

A hidden gem, rooms were dated but clean, great place for the price, pool wasn't opened for the season yet but looked like it would be great! Neat little place, will definitely stay again if I'm in the area Update: stayed again about a week after my first review, Pool was open and was a GREAT place to relax and take a break from the busy week we were having, also forgot to mention in my first review how friendly and accommodating the staff is! Had a wonderful stay and will definitely be keeping this place on my "Will Stay Again" list for thr next time I'm in town!

Very friendly staff and welcoming atmosphere. Room was clean and well stocked with supplies. Beds were comfy! Restaurant was also great! I enjoyed the western omelet.

So I had procrastinated on getting a hotel for our event that we were there for this past weekend and of all the other choices that were still left I chose this one because of the reviews. And I was satisfied. I have stayed at hotels all across the country and I liked how personable the staff was I did like that on the bottom floor the rooms had a front and back door so I could just park up to my back door and Easy Transport in and out of what I needed to bring into the room or take out of the room. The way it's set up is that there's not a parking per se in the front that's designated to open grass area and the pool and so the parking are all the way around the building. It's very nice. I loved the spiral staircases that they had on the outside absolutely cool. They had a pool we were just there two weeks before it opened no problem. All of the doors are painted yellow and I thought that was very Nifty. I will say that the hotel is of an older model so if you're a bougie individual this may not be your hotel. I still think you should try it because it was still quite nice. The beds were clean and soft the pillows were nice the bedding was nice. If we have this event again, I would definitely choose this hotel over the Holiday Inn. Now I did not eat at the restaurant but it was really cool to hear that as a room key holder I got 10% off of breakfast if I showed the key. That's very interesting I don't know any other hotel that does that. But from someone that is out of town I definitely recommend this hotel again the people were phenomenal and they were able to hold a conversation and it wasn't like a rushed conversation it felt natural. And so I think that adds a little extra to a hotel that's clearly been in the town for a while. And it's super convenient to everything around it I mean the Walmart is not far away nor are other eateries or shopping places. Again I definitely recommend.

Such a cutie little motel! The salt water pool was lovely and the rooms were spacious and clean! Will def be staying here again.

This pertains to the restaraunt not the motel. Arrived at 10 pm to restaraunt only to find out they were closed even though the sign on the door said 11 pm. Even though online it boasts about being open 24hrs. Staff said manager didn't have time to change the sign on the door yet but I'm sure the hours didn't change overnight. Disappointing to say the least don't place fake advertiment on the web if you are not going to keep upto date on your hours of operation

We were a party of 10 and 6 of them were children so you can imagine that it was a circus! Christy did an awesome job!! She anticipated the needs of the children before we even thought to ask.The service was great and the food was very good.

Great motel! Clean and friendly staff. Stayed here for one night. Would stay here again in the future.
