Most wonderful park in all of Connecticut! This is the oldest and largest Rose Garden in America! We are blessed to live a block from this park in Hartford’s Historic West End, and this park is a major attraction here. Plus, the vibrant West Hartford Center (rated #1 in CT) is roughly a mile West of this park, and Downtown Hartford is roughly two miles East of the park. We call Elizabeth Park Connecticut’s version of Manhattan’s Central Park!
This park is exquisite! The ambiance is very peaceful. The rose garden is gorgeous and has a great variety of styles and colors. You can enjoy several activities while spending a day in the park from jogging, picnic, drawing, and even tennis. It's the perfect place to have a quiet and amazing day. I recommend this place 100%

We go at least twice a year and always have a wonderful time taking photos and walking around the park. Always find friendly folks that offer to take photos for us since it's just my husband and myself. This yr with the covid we've been taking them ourselves though but still just as great. All areas of the park are beautiful to us.
One of the oldest parks in the US, Amazing rose garden,as well as annual gardens. Nice walking trails , dogs allowed!!! Also on premises, the pond house cafe . Great food and views! Ps they really do up Halloween 🎃
The rose gardens here are some of the best in the state. It provides a very romantic background for my engagement shoots. The parking is very convenient and when the roses are blooming at their peak in June it is a site to see! Della Bella Photography highly recommends this location for your wedding and engagement shoots.
Elizabeth Park has been one of my favorite parks since I was little. Been coming here since I was 5 years old. The flowers are extraordinary and beautiful. My best friend got married here. The environment is very chill. Great place to escape your mind or walk around yo exercise
Beautiful park. Areas to walk and your dog, gazebos galore, beautiful pond with different types of duck sand a stone bridge. A beautiful garden with varieties, size and colored Rose's around the world. A perfect Park for taking pictures.
